The Day the Oceans Turned to Lava

The ocean turns red-hot; you attempt to approach for a closer inspection, but the air grows increasingly scorching, akin to reaching into an oven. The sand beneath your feet is so hot that your rubber slippers begin to melt. In an inexplicable transformation, the ocean has become a seething, gooey lava. Panic sets in, and you sprint inland, observing a chaotic scene of people running amok. In reality, lava consists of molten rocks from beneath the Earth's surface.

Deep within our planet, at a depth comparable to the distance between New York and Philadelphia, intense underground heat from the core melts rocks, akin to how the sun melts ice cream. Interestingly, the only creatures on this planet that might withstand the heat of lava are tardigrades.
