King Phillip Came Over From Great Spain
I happened to hear a classic old tune I like the other day. If you guessed, 1994s breakout hit Regulate by the legendary Warren G, you’d be wrong. It was actually that stupid song for teaching kids about the Linnaeus classification system in biology. You know what I’m talking about right? the kingdom, phylum, class, order thing…..King Phillip came over from great Spain. If you ever had to take a science class in grades 2–8, especially if there was any sort of focus on biology it probably would have been forced on you at some point. The song is super annoying but kind of catchy. Lyrics and link if you are a glutton for punishment.

Parasitoid Wasp
The team of researchers, consisting of Dr. Dirk Sanders and Dr. Frank van Veen of the Center for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter Penryn, used lice from a variety of parasitoid wasps to feed aphids and other wasps and measured body mass transfer from species to species. Evidence from active insect fossils is rare, so researchers welcomed the opportunity to study the history of insect wasps and how similar species are viewed today. The team also looked at the wasps from the flying eggs, as well as the Xenomorphoses that incubate throughout the night until they hatch.

For the ultimate pursuit of science fiction
It's the ice and snow festival that brings the cryogenic artists. Absurd as the idea was, it was what Yan Dong had been thinking ever since the sea dried up, and the memories of that time were still vivid, no matter how many years had passed.
