The most memorable antagonists are the ones that make you reconsider your position on an issue. They are not evil for evil's sake but operate from a moral compass that, while unpopular, is entirely understandable and at least partially agreeable. In this regard, Thanos stands out. If you are unfamiliar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Thanos (huge purple dude, weird chin) is an overarching villain who first makes an appearance in the first Avengers movie in a post-credits scene. His presence remains enigmatic as the heroes move from film to film, but as the universe expands, the audience is able to piece together little nuggets of information about him.

My Monthly Way To Give Back

Two months ago I started out with a purchase of three bracelets with Polar Bears on them. Each has a tracker. We adopt and between myself and our grandchildren, using our computers we can track where our Polar Bear is and knowing how they are doing.

Recycling is Just the Start
Recycling is just an illusion; it’s a story we’ve been told to make us feel better about buying plastic water bottles and aluminum pop cans. It’s a story that’s been shoved down our throats since preschool, and yet, it doesn’t live up to the promises it makes. And the problem is that no one is asking what recycling truly is, if its supporting the health of the Earth, or even what happens to those bottles and cans once they disappear from our bins.

My Green Home. Top Story - May 2021.
For my Wave Makers challenge, I chose to break down my home and our “green” habits. Allow me to begin by saying that we, my household and I, are not a 100% super green, eco-friendly home. We aren't, but the title isn't a lie either. More or less, we live by the ideology that if we don't need it, we don't use it and that if it's not safe enough to be recycled or broken down, then we don't need to be using it at all. With this in mind, we still have wasteful tendencies to an extent, but we try to make a difference in our choices to help out our beautiful planet.

I’m an optimist. I have high hopes for the future of Planet Earth. I believe that the techies of this day will prevail in giving us affordable electric vehicles with solid state batteries that will be capable of getting us from one side of the country to the other using an infrastructure tailored to that end.
