NOVEL 93XX

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. My name is Bellatrix and I am hoping they are wrong. I am a space explorer and it seems I am stuck in another galaxy. I worked on Shipped 93XX for 3 years. We had the mission to explore the universe and find other forms of life. For so many years mankind has wondered if we are really alone or are there different types of life in the universe. As big as the universe is it is naive to think we are the only intelligent life that exists. 93XX main mission was to find other life in the universe and make contact with it. We have searched every corner of the universe in hopes of finding something anything. But we have never been successful. At least not until now. Through out the last couple of years 93xx has explored different planets and even discovered a few we did not know existed. But each planet we discovered had no life on it. Not only that, there was no way the planets we discovered could support any life form.

But in August 3033 something amazing happened. 93xx found a way to leave our universe and cross over to another universe. What an amazing discovery we had made. We found a way to travel through the exit hole that leads to the new universe we discovered . Entering that universe was the best part of any mission I have ever been on. And the beauty was awesome. The stars are brighter, the planets are bigger and the air is actually fresher than in our own universe. We found that existing in the new universe where 7 new planets. We were certain that there was life on at least one of those planets if not more. We made it our mission to make contact with that life and explore the other planets. But much to our dismay every planet we searched had not evidence of life existing at all. And we also had to conclude that there was no way any life could exists on the planets we explored.

That was until we explored the last planet in that universe. We call this planet Novel 93xx. As soon as we landed on the planet we where happy to see the beautiful fields off green grass and flowers. The flowers where as big as the trees on our planet. And oh so beautiful, being of colors red, yellow and blue. The sun shined so brightly on the planet. The air felt so fresh and smelled like rain all the time. And the climate was never to hot or to cold. At first it was like we discovered Uptopia. The land was so beautiful there was plenty of food and clean water. It was peaceful, it was a place a person would not really want to leave.

My captain got the orders that we were to stay on the planet and search for life. And that is just what we did. We took up camp on the planet and searched everyday. It was almost time to give up on finding anything, until we did. I was with my partner Pax. Pax had been with the ship 4 years longer than I had. I was lucky to have him as my partner. He was smart and had experience. He also made sure he protected his partner. I could not have asked for a better person to be partners with. He was also good looking and honestly I could not wait to go on assignments with Pax. We had hiked for what seemed like hours when suddenly we stumbled upon a city. We where amazed at what we had found. The buildings in the city where all neon blue that lighted up the night sky. The streets and bridges where designed in a way that no way on earth has done before. The air was fresh and the city was quiet. We knew that obviously there was intelligent life there. We just had to find it. We continued walking until we reached the front door of a castle. We went into the castle. It was amazing. The floors were made of stone and the ceilings made of gold. The walls were made of marble. The air smelled like vanilla. We walked through the halls and we heard a voice order us to STOP! We turned around and saw a terrifying creator. He was at least 9ft tall, his skin was a greenish color. He had a fish like face and a man's body. His teeth looked like they where razor sharp. A green slim seemed to pour off his face onto the military clothing he was wearing. The slim also linked on his space age weapon he was caring in his large hand. His weapon was the size of a machine gun and was chrome with a point that was like a laser.

" We come in peace", Pax yelled. "What is your purpose here?", the alien solider asked. " We come in peace". Pax said again, "Please take us to your leader." The alien solider remained silent as we followed him around the castle and up the silver stairs to the office of his leader. We had no idea what would happen when we met his leader. We did not know if we would be killed or kept in their jail, or if they would let us go. My mind raised and my heart felt like it was going to leap out of my chest, as we where lead to the small room that his leader was in. As we went into the room we were met by his leader. An equally terrifying creator in appearance as the solider that lead us to him. " What is your purpose here?", the leader asked. "My name is Bellatrix and this is Pax my partner.", I quickly responded. " I promise we come in peace.", I added. " Well Bellatrix my name is Thor and I don't care if you come in peace. I asked what your purpose was here.", the leader said in a strong voice. " We have been sent on a mission from planet Earth.", Pax replied. "What kind of mission?", Thor asked. " We have been searching for life on other planets for years. And now we have found what we were looking for. We mean no harm, we just want to study your lives and take some samples of your soil, things of this nature are the only thing we are after.", Pax told him.

" And what will you do with your findings?", Thor asked. " We will report what we find to Earth when we get back home. I can assure you we will leave after that, and we will not return to your planet. You will never see us again.", I answered. "So then your purpose is to do research for your science, is this correct?", Thor asked. " Yes that is correct, we just want to find out how well your planet is functioning and supporting the needs of the beings here." Pax replied. " Fine then I will allow you to stay and do your science research for one week. After that you leave and you don't come back" Thor ordered. " Thankyou so much, this research is going to be extremely valuable to our planet", said Pax. " You don't need to thank me. And make sure you understand, we don't want you humans here. You have one week, now leave my office and my castle", Thor ordered.

We left and went straight back to our ship. We could not wait to tell our captain about what we had discovered and the deal we had made. Our crew spent the next 5 days collecting soil samples, and samples of their water. And we took samples of their grass and weeds. Not one of us left the camp site and we never saw another alien. But on day 5 something went horribly wrong. I was working outside that day taking soil samples, the others were working inside the ship. I looked up for a moment and saw the ship sitting there. In the next moment the ship and everyone on it just vanished into thin air. Leaving me all alone on the planet. I have been all alone here ever since. I know that my captain and my crew did not just desert me here alone. Something had to have happened to them. I watched them vanish in front of my eyes. The only thing I can think of is that the leader Thor must have learned about our real plan. You see Earth was planning to take over this planet because the resources on Earth have all been used up. I guess now you understand why I am hoping that they are wrong about screams not being able to be heard in the vacuum of space. I have screamed plenty since I have been left all alone. Even though I know that I am not really alone. I know that the creatures of this planet are watching me and they are stalking me. I hear them every night. I scream in hopes that someone will hear me and rescue me.
