Apart from rivers, lakes and seas, the most beautiful landforms on earth are mountains. Mountains are the most important factor in the beauty of the earth. Let's imagine that if there were no mountain costumes on the earth, there would be a plain everywhere and a panoramic view in all directions, how boring she would be, how elegant and beautiful she would be as she is today.

There are too many mountains on the earth, such as the Himalayas in Asia, the Andes in South America, the Rockies in North America, the Alps in Europe, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and so on. It is because of so many mountains that we human beings have more habitats, breeding places, cultural birthplaces and tourist destinations.

The first to discover the beauty of Funiu Mountain was the dinosaur. From the late Triassic to the mid-Cretaceous on the earth, a large number of hadrosaurs, guanosaurs, protoceratosaurs and carnivores were first discovered. In a faulted area of Funiu Mountain, today's Xixia County, there are dense pines and cycads, ginkgo biloba, cycads, herbs and a large number of ants, so they use their own unique language to send a summoning message to their own kind, and more species of dinosaurs began to gather here. Use this place as a habitat.

So that more than 60 million years later, people in Xixia County randomly dug and found more than 1,000 dinosaur eggs and many dinosaur skeletons here. And there are at least 16 egg laying layers in the lower strata of these dinosaur eggs that have been found. These dinosaur eggs have been found, belonging to 6 families, 9 genera and 13 species, especially the giant long eggs and Gobi prismatic eggs, which are rare in the world today. The dinosaur eggs unearthed here have the largest number, variety, wide distribution and good preservation in the world. Today, the Nanyang Xixia Dinosaur ruins Park established here is a national 5A-level scenic spot.

Later found that Funiu Mountain is one of our human ancestors-the famous "Nanzhao ape-man". At that time, the main way for ape-men to get food was to hunt and kill small animals and pick fruits from trees. Funiu Mountain could satisfy all these.

Funiu Mountain is located at the junction of the north subtropical zone and warm temperate zone, with humid climate and obvious vertical climate change. There are many fruit trees, such as pear, apricot, mountain peach, mountain persimmon, mountain jujube, dogwood, pecan and gooseberry all over the mountain. Rabbits, pheasants and wild boars are everywhere.

Because of the conditions provided by Funiu Mountain, Nanzhao ape-man stopped the pace of migration and search here, and they decided to live here. And they found that in the limestone distribution zone of the central mountains of Funiu Mountain, there are a wide range of karst caves, which provide them with natural shelter and springs to quench their thirst. There are food, shelter and drink. I don't know how long they have lived here. I don't know how many children they have bred. I don't know when they learned to grow. What they can guess now is that they are tired of caves. Disrelish that it is too fashionable, they go downhill and gradually learn slash-and-burn cultivation. They, slowly became one of the ancestors of mankind, today's Nanyang and Central Plains, perhaps many of them are their descendants.

Next, it was found that the people of Chu were the best of Funiu Mountain. In the Historical Records of the Chu Family, it is recorded that Feng Xiong deducted from Chu Man, sealed his son's male field, surnamed Wei, and lived in Danyang. This Danyang is the Danyang in Funiu Mountain. Its location is at the intersection of Danjiang and Xishui in Xichuan County, Nanyang. The people of Chu probably took a fancy to the beautiful scenery here, the undulating mountains here, easy to defend and difficult to attack, and the rich mountains and treasures here, so they took it as their first capital.

Today, the continuous unearthed objects of the State of Chu in Funiu Mountain are testifying for the former capital of the State of Chu. Later, as the Chu people opened their borders and expanded their territory to the south to the east, they felt that Danyang was not in the center of the country, so they began to move the capital several times to the south to the east.

Of course, poets in the Tang Dynasty did not come to visit Funiu Mountain. Song Zhiwen, a poet in the early Tang Dynasty, traveled in Funiu Mountain for a long time and wrote a long poem called "Shi" about what he had seen and heard when he visited Funiu Mountain. The first four sentences are: climb the Xiema Ridge in the morning and look at Funiu Mountain. Stand alone at the head of the group, and bear the vitality of the crowd.

In the heyday of the Tang Dynasty, the famous Mr. Li Bai probably came to Nanyang City twice, but I don't know whether he traveled southward from Luoyang to Nanyang, across Lushan to Nanyang, or from Chang'an to Nanyang via Wuguan Road. No matter which way he went, he had to climb the mountains of Funiu Mountain. When he went to Nanyang for the second time, he thought of his dead friend and left a tear-stirring poem "remembering Cui Lang's visit to Zhongzong in Nanyang." in the past, he only ate Dushan fern in Nanyang City. Remember Cui Zongzhi and Baishui Suyue. When the time passes on the chrysanthemum pool, there is no rest for drinking. Pan this golden flower, depressed clear song hair. Once you destroy the jade tree, life and death are erratic. If you leave me with the Confucius piano, the piano is dead. Who spreads Guangling scattered, but weeps over the bones of the mountain. When did Quanhu sweep the lone rabbit grottoes? Dushan in the poem is the remaining vein of Funiu Mountain, and Ju Tan in the poem is a famous scenic spot in Funiu Mountain. He can feel his love for Funiu Mountain from the poem.

Xue Neng, a famous poet in the late Tang Dynasty, also visited Funiu Mountain and wrote a poem called "Funiu Mountain". If you do not plough for the time, you will return to rest as soon as there is wind and rain.

When I grew up in the Nanyang basin, although I knew very early that the west and north of the basin was Funiu Mountain, because my home was at the bottom of the basin, all my actions depended on two feet in those days, so I didn't see Funiu Mountain for the first time until I was a soldier at the age of 18 when I took the train north along the Jiaozhi railway to Shandong. I remember that when the stuffy jar army carrying our recruits stopped at Lushan Station, someone pointed to the railway door and shouted, "look, Funiu Mountain!" When I heard the sound, I hurried to the iron gate to have a look. sure enough, there were mountains far and near. It was the first time I saw the mountain when I grew up on the flat ground, and the huge winding mountain shocked me. A few years after this meeting, I took the southbound passenger train from Luoyang to my hometown to visit my relatives. I had been sitting in front of the window, looking greedily at the mountain outside the window, trying to keep his appearance in mind.

Later, when I made my home in Nanyang City, I had the convenience of visiting Funiu Mountain. I remember once, along with several friends of Nanyang Daily, I went to the Baotianman primeval forest in the hinterland of Funiu Mountain, which really opened my eyes. I never thought that there was such a scale of primeval forest in the Central Plains. It is indeed a sea of trees. The mountain people who served as our guides told me that the Funiu Mountain Nature Reserve covers a total area of nearly 60, 000 hectares, and there are more than 2800 species of plants in the area, including subspecies, varieties and forms. Among them, fragrant fruit trees, collar trees, sandalwood, water green trees, mountain white trees, big fruit green stalks, and Fraxinus mandshurica are all precious and rar
