Hydrogen
It is the most abundant fuel in the universe and when you burn it the only byproduct of the combustion reaction is water. More than this it has three times the potential energy than petroleum so the question really becomes, why are we not using it to power everything? Well there are several answers to that question, but the most surprising one is we are already.

The Future of Earth | The ultimate change of our planet explained briefly.
The Future of Earth and the life on it. The future of life on earth and the structure of the earth can be ruled out depending on the limited effects of several long-term influences. These include the chemistry of the earth's surface, the degree of cooling the interior of the planet, the interaction of gravity and other elements in the Solar System, and the further increase in sunlight. What is uncertain about this release is the continuing influence of man-made technologies, such as climate engineering, that could revolutionize the world. The current extinction of the Holocene is due to technology and the effects can last up to five million years. Also, technology could lead to the extinction of humanity, leaving the planet to slowly return to the gradual evolution of long-term natural processes.

Smith Island, rescuing us from extinction
Extinction. It's a pretty large and a scary concept at that. But where I live with other islanders, it could become a reality. Smith Island was founded in the early 1600's when it was discovered by Henry Smith. Since that point forward, settlers have inhabited and still continue to do so today. Unique fact also is the Native American population that inhabited the island long before Henry Smith ever arrived. That dates back to thousands of years prior.

The Rose and the Stone
High up on a cliff a large stone slumbered. The wind passed by this day, gathering up to itself the small specks of soil the stone rested upon. On their way they went with the wind, each beginning a new journey, enough of them that the sleeping stone was dislodged from his bed to begin one of his own.

A Pleasant Visitor
For the past few years, I've been helping my mother take care of her home when she goes to the weekend cabin up north. While I'm watching her home, interesting guests always pop on by. Whether it's pigs from a neighboring farm making a visit. A raccoon pigging out on my mother's bird feeders, dumping out the birdseed everywhere. Squirrels that think that they're bigger than what they are, chittering as they bounce forward. Even having deer that decide to dump out the bird feeder, eat the seeds off the ground, and then snort when they notice they are being watched.

The Knocking Friend
At home wondering, if ever these times will change. I could read or make a fictional story; I swear COVID is taking me down a lane, I never want to visit again. I am trying to say that nothing is new, and I keep watching the same view, starting to itch, and itch, and itch for a change; that is all I can do. Not true. I could go out for a walk with all my friends, distance, we at a distance, but none of them walk. I would pass a visit, but the government says we cannot. What is this world becoming? Where will the time take me? Imagine being a social butterfly and then bearing upon a hibernating season; A season that has me feeling worse than a widow grieving. I told my voices to push me; this low is changing me in ways I do not enjoy. I thought I still needed to keep pushing myself; regardless of the amount of time and energy I did, I feel it is not enough. On my lowest of lows, I decided to turn to nature and the beauty it provides.

The Earth Will Sweat Less
Ever wondered the newspapers your house collects are actually the doors for your input to the better future. The houses we live in are made of concrete which by the way are one of the major carbon emitting sources of green house gases and they can be easily replaced with materials like Fly Ash, Silica Fume, and Wood Ash typically called green alternative for conventional concrete. There are many more such cautious choices we make uncautiously. Let's embark on a journey where we can make better choices for a better world.
