Rafflesia-World largest flower
Share the common name "Corpus Flower" and the large flower of Amorphophallus titanum because it smells of rotten flesh - a condition they have taken to attract pollinated leaflets from this plant. When a flower blooms and is ready for pollination it emits a foul odor of rotten meat and rotten fish that many people describe as a magnetic fly for pollination. As soon as it is spotted by the host plant, the only part of Rafflesia that can be identified as a plant-like flower is the flower itself, unusual in its large size, with a reddish-brown color and the smell of rotten flesh.
