Notion
Come and take a walk with me? Allow yourself to drift and wander a little, beyond the stories that we usually and so frequently tell ourselves. We’ll soften the resistance as we go, blurring and blending the once rigid vicinities of your mind. I wonder what will seep in through the emergence of new cracks in your perception, now that they are not so cautiously guarded. Why do we defend ourselves, in order to stay active within a story that we would not have chosen to write for ourselves, do we have a choice? That’s just reality right? Sure, it’s nice to see, hear, smell, taste and touch... but how do you really want to feel?

Message from a Macaw
Mario sat on a tree branch in the rain forest he called home. But instead of singing a beautiful song or enjoying the sunshine, he was angry and frustrated at what was going on around him. People wanted to see the parrots and other animals that lived on his island. Mario used to be alright with that. He had liked watching the people. Sometimes he even tried to imitate what they said.

The Lute Player's Wife
“Georgia, they're ready for you!” The stage assistant peeked her head into my dressing room where my makeup artist Cierra was putting the finishing touches on my eye shadow. I smiled weakly still feeling nervous but I slid my body from the salon chair and followed the stage assistant to the production area. Cameras were everywhere and a big bright stage setting with two blue sofa chairs and a blue ottoman in the middle. I sat in my seat and rubbed the top of my necklace. A silver cross necklace with silver jewels running down the middle. A Christmas gift from my late husband. Reid Pho.

How Skating Led Me To Louie
I was living in California, yes very sunny California, the place where it never rains. I was young and full of energy so you would think I would want to try my hand at some outdoor sport such as surfing. No, can't do that, too afraid of sharks, although they truly fascinate me. I try to learn more about sharks all the time. Maybe, they aren't really the creatures of the deep that strike fear into the heart of mankind at the mere mention of their species. That fear, however, would eliminate any ocean water sport since I was afraid to put my big toe into the water. No, instead I decided of all things to learn how to do something that I had never been very good at as a little girl. I thought I would follow in my little sister Gail's footsteps and learn how to do Ice Skating!

An Archimedes Screw
I am currently holidaying in Settle and have places that I enjoy visiting, including walking down to the River Ribble to the weir before the bridge that links Settle to Giggleswick. One of the interesting things that is located there is a water turbine that uses an Archimedes Screw, The basic principle of the Archimedes Screw is to raise water from one level to another ,often seen in irrigation systems and much more efficient than carrying the water in buckets.
