In accordance with Spirit Airlines' flight change policy, you may make changes to your flight reservation up to one hour prior to your flight departure. However, you will be charged a transfer fee as shown in the table below.

Spirit Airlines will allow you to change your flight for free if:
You change your ticket within 24 hours of flying a flight that leaves at least 7 days (168 hours) later.
You change your reservation 60 days before the departure of your flight.
You have chosen the Flight Flex option and have made changes to your ticket at least 24 hours before departure.
You have purchased a Bundle It ticket (including Flight Flex*) and have made changes to your ticket at least 24 hours prior to departure.
Your flight is delayed by 2 hours or more.
*The Spirit Airlines Flight Flex option allows you to change your plan once for free. You can buy this policy online (or from a third party/travel agent). If you buy the option online, you will see it on the Extras page.
In all other cases, you will need to pay the change fee according to your departure date as shown below.

If you wish to change the date and/or time of your flight, you will be charged a change fee based on when you make the change, as shown in the table below. Remember, you will not be charged any change fees if you make changes at least 60 days prior to departure.

Spirit Airlines standard and award ticket change fees depend on when your flight reservation changes. To avoid a change fee, you must change your reservation within 24 hours or at least 60 days prior to departure. If you change outside of these hours:
A change fee of USD 49–99 will be charged, depending on when you make the change (as shown in the table above).
If your new flight is more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference in airfare, taxes, and more.
If your new flight is cheaper, you'll receive booking credit toward future travel.
The Booking Credit can only be used by the passenger for whom the credit is offered.
Spirit Airlines Change Currency — Flexible Air Tickets
Spirit Airlines' Flight Flex option allows you to change your itinerary once and for free. The policy can be purchased online, by phone or through your travel agency. If you buy it online, it will appear on the Extras page.
After adding Flight Flex to your reservation, you will be able to change your itinerary up to 1 day (ie 24 hours) before departure, but only once. You only have to pay the difference in fees and taxes (if applicable), as well as any additional services you choose to purchase.
You cannot use Flight Flex to cancel a ticket. This means that if you cancel your ticket after purchasing Flight Flex, normal cancellation fees will apply. Your refund (if you cancel) will be issued as a Future Travel Booking Credit (explained below) less any applicable cancellation fees.
Flight Flex can be purchased online and through select travel agencies.
You must purchase Flight Flex for all passengers on your reservation.
Flight Flex cannot be purchased on an existing reservation; can be purchased at the time of booking.
You can only do 1 free modification with Flight Flex.
You can change the date, time and/or origin/destination of the flight.
All changes must be made online at least 24 hours after departure.
If transferring within 24 hours of departure, normal transfer fees will apply.
You should know in advance what changes you want to make to your itinerary at the time you make the changes.
Flight Flex cannot be used to cancel a ticket.
Flight Flex is not available on all routes.

If you have a confirmed reservation and Spirit Airlines reschedules your flight due to issues such as a schedule change, abandoned layover, canceled flight, or missed connection, you will have an option:

Get a refund for your ticket
If your flight was affected more than 2 hours before the original departure time (due to cancellation/delay/rescheduling), you can rebook your new flight at no additional charge:

If you choose to rebook your flight on a different flight, Spirit Airlines will not offer a refund in most cases.
