Climate Change

In the coming years, climate change is going to be one of the most severe threat for life on this earth. Life exists in a suitable and controlled environment. Proper temperature, water sufficiency, food sufficiency, and other essentials of life are disturbed by the posed climate change. Climate change has posed various threats for life on this earth.

1. Global temperature is rising. In the last few decades, I have increased almost 1 degree centigrade. This ratio is very high. It is expected that in the coming several scores of years, global temperature will increase several degrees. Life and social activities need a normal temperature to lead a suitable life. When temperature is rising, it has various impacts. Heat waves occur, floods occur, droughts occur, wildfires are experienced in many parts of the world, like in the U.S., Los Angeles, which affected thousands of people, thousands of businesses, and families.

2. The impact of climate change is melting of glaciers and sea ice is melting. It is also a very great challenge for human beings, for life on this earth. When glaciers melt, water comes down to oceans. As a result, the level of oceans increases. Presently, it has increased several inches. It will destroy coastal cities n the coming years.

3. Besides this, when ice melts, it produces water scarcity in the region. Because ice is limited, it is a freshwater reserve source for life on this earth.

4. Moreover, climate change is also dangerous for biodiversity. Many species are being lost today because of climate change. Lion, tiger, polar bear, markhor etc creatures. We are going to harm our future generation. It will just see them in pictures and videos. It will remember them just in stories. And vanishing of these creatures from the surface of the earth will also disturb ecological balance of the earth.

5. At the same time, water scarcity is also associated with climate change. Currently, Iran is experiencing severe water shortage even in its capital city, Tehran. People are compelled to migrate from the cities. Drinking water has become scarce. When water is not available to humanity, their survival becomes very difficult. Water scarcity is becoming more common in many countries as the time passes.

6. Besides this, climate change has severe health impacts, diseases or spreading effects. Because of the destruction or weakening of ozone layer, dangerous radiations come to this earth which causes genetic mutation in human beings. Moreover, many skin diseases are prevailing currently. That is because of the existing of dangerous carcinogenic rays in the atmosphere. Moreover, the greenhouse gases and other poisonous gases increase respiratory complications in human beings. So diseases are going to increase.

7. Besides this, food security is also associated with climate change. When water cycle is disturbed, agriculture will suffer a lot. Moreover, for the proper crops production, a proper temperature is required. When temperature is increased, it will impact the growth and productivity of agricultural products. As a result, water scarcity is also associated with climate change. There are many other consequences of climate change, which is a serious threat for future generations.

Now, humanity is required to take practical and stringent steps to cope with climate change and reduce its impacts. Otherwise, the issue is so serious that it can be one of the destructive causes of life on earth. The world get together nationally and internationally because climate change respect no boundaries and territories. GHGs should be reduced and plantation should be expedite. International organization are also required to play its due role. Lastly, the common people must be educated to know the urgency of time and how to cope with climate change.
