How many of you out there remember waiting on a certain phone call? Whether it be from a relative, friend, even a neighbor, or as I am today waiting for a call about an online teaching position? Waiting for this certain call when the other person sent an email stating the time and it is already past that time. I know the college that I hope to teach this course is in the Eastern time zone and I am now in the Central time zone, but I waited for the call at 8:30 AM my time which is 9:30 their time and even my 9:30 AM which is actually 10:30 AM their time. (Sorry for the time zone lesson).
The director of the department said will talk to you soon. I hope she doesn't do what a few magazine editors always said. The editors always said the same thing and never heard back, and I did send messages checking in and always got the same message "We will contact you when we have openings. Thanks for your interest in writing for us." Well, back to my current waiting and though my past emails about this call the director always asked me what time would be a good time her to call back. I told her and now here I am waiting for that call.
There are actually two directors for this department, which is the Continuing education department that offers courses for professional development and enrichment courses and other special interest courses and programs. They both liked my course idea that could be starting as soon as this summer. The course I hope to be facilitating is an Adult Coloring Workshop. This is a course that I have done as activities when I was working as a nurse as a Resocialization/Relaxation group for many years, so I do have experience 'teaching' this course. I know it will be in a different context now, but I think, and hope others will enjoy creating and showing their work.

If someone says they will call they should at least give a ballpark timezone, It happens with me sometimes at work, but I am lucky, I can see when they are free and therefore call them, but I know that's not an option for you.
