The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Should come with a trauma warning.
Ten years after reading it, I still look at cornfields with the violent suspicious that pedophiles and murders are lurking amongst their eerie stalks.
Well-written with compelling storytelling, but to this day, I wonder if my continued emotional scars are worth this tragic tale.
