Crisis in the Amazon
Are we living our lives as if every day is a new fairytale unfolding. Granted, some fairy tales are far more wonderful for some than for others. There are people surviving day to day in not so fairytale like conditions, yet are doing more for the ecological survival of the planet than those who seem completely oblivious to warnings of "Less is More". If we are to continue to survive safely, we need to wake up to the reality of that which is unfolding around us. This is not a storied fairytale.

Aww. That brought up some memories. The 1983 TV series with Zelah Clarke and Timothy Dalton was one of the first British TV shows I've ever watched. It was so well done! I am ashamed to admit that I've never read the book, though.
