Jagged Little Pill

A woman scorned makes for one powerful songwriter.

Some do therapy, others create multi-platinum selling albums.

Alanis takes us sailing through her emotional tempest, revealing tumultuous waves on tracks like You Oughta Know and finding eye of the storm tranquility in Perfect.

Her best poetry. Not for the faint hearted.

Great critique! And great album! This is one of those albums that triggers Memories of what you were doing in life when it was popular to you. I think my favorite song by her is “uninvited”

  • I loveeeeee songs by a scorned woman and that's not for the faint of heart! Gotta check out this album!

I saw this and meant to get round to reading it because this album was part of my teenhood and I still love every damn song on it. You nailed this one, Kayleigh! Thank you. Alanis would be proud!

YES. What an album - and she was so young when she wrote it. Great review.
