Amazon Prime's Khauf 2025 Review

Khauf is a horror drama series which was released on Amazon Prime. I would also like to tell you that this series has a total of 8 episodes, and each episode is between 40 to 50 minutes.

Well, now I have watched this series and now I am sharing with you my good or bad experience of watching this series through this review.

So now without wasting any time, let's talk about how my experience was after watching this series.

So first of all, let me tell you a little about the story of this series.

In this series, you will see the story of a young girl, Madhu, who starts living in a hostel in Delhi city, but soon Madhu starts to know about some dark secrets of her hostel, and then something very bad and strange starts happening to her.

And now to know what that bad and strange thing is, you will have to watch this series.

Now let's talk about how my experience was after watching this series.

Khauf 2025 Review

So look, there are two major aspects of the story of this series: one is the supernatural aspect, and the other is the social horror aspect.

In the social horror aspect, we have been shown in this series how women have to face sexual harassment in many places, even rape.

Sexual harassment, sexual assault or domestic violence are all our dark realities. Such issues should be highlighted and those who do bad to women should be punished.

All these issues are highlighted in this series as well, the only problem with this series is that all the men shown in this series have been made monsters.

Even Madhu's boyfriend has been shown as a weak male character who cannot defend Madhu anywhere. In the second half of the show, even Madhu's boyfriend starts hitting him.

That means you will hardly find a single strong positive male character in this series.

Now if a young girl watches this series, the message she will get from this series is that all men are bad and do bad things to women because there is not a single strong positive male character in this series that a woman can see and hope that not all men are bad, not all men are the same, some are good too and a man and a woman can live happily together in a good relationship, this has not been shown anywhere in this series.

You will only get to see one-sided things in which men are bad, do bad things to women and women should be afraid of men, this is the real message of this series and this is an extreme feminist agenda that the creators of this show have tried to sell to us with a lot of love, which I did not like at all.

And those who support this agenda will see the same people promoting this show as well.

The limit is that even the supernatural entity has been made into a man, and that man is harming women even after his death, i.e. even the men who are ghosts are bad.

Believe me, I was laughing after watching the last few episodes of this series.

The rest of the horror element of this series is very childish. There was not a single moment in this series where I felt scared while watching this show.

Plus, the pacing of this series is too slow, and the length is too long. Many people will easily get bored due to the slow pacing of this series and stop watching this show in the middle.

The performances of the actors, the music and the production work of the series, everything is decent.

Conclusion

In short, this series has proved to be a disappointing experience for me. This series shows one-sided things, whereas the creators of the show should have presented a balanced story in front of us by keeping their feminist agenda aside.

The problems that women have to face in our society should definitely be highlighted. We will all support that. But it is not right to portray an entire gender as a villain.

I will rate this series 5 out of 10 because, in my view, this show is a complete flop in every aspect. And I would just like to tell you all that you should not waste even a bit of your precious time on this show.

But still, if someone wants to watch this show, then you cannot watch this show with family because you will get to see some kissing scenes and some adult scenes in this show.
