The Austere Academy
'The Austere Academy' is volume 5 of the Lemony Snicket series. This is when the Baudelaire children entered Prufrock Preparatory School after leaving Lucky Smells Lumbermill. Prufrock Prep for the Baudelaire's could be when they did make two friends and on nasty enemy in the name of Carmelita Spats. Count Olaf is always around in some disguise that always seems to fool the adults around wherever Violet, Klaus and Sunny end up for a time. 'The Austere Academy' is one story that could make one think of sending your kids to a prep school, but schools are not that bad.

What is so damaging to this current culture is the ant-intellectualism which pervades nearly every element of it. Clavicular, real name, Braden Peters equivocates physical form with getting women, making money, and overall being a strong “man.”

A Dart at Dusk
Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of us… my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the day’s oppressive heat. His typical stumbling and staggering along — apace with a sloth — has turned into trip-trapping, high-stepping, almost skipping along.
