Was there a person - the girl's rape, parental failure, social and perhaps legal?

The rape of the girl in Eilat - is it due to the lack of education in values by the parents, has the education system failed, is the judicial worldview, which blames the victim and rules mitigation - what is the main cause of rape?

Over the years, the number 30, has raised a variety of associations. A few days ago, this number took a difficult turn, suddenly the number 30 sounded inconceivable.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve - thirteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seven-ten, eight - Ten, nine - ten, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty.

How exhausting it is to read all these numbers, surely most of you missed the reading, but they, the guys did not miss it and she did not even know when the nightmare would stop.

Many were amazed at how none of the "guys" imagined it could have been his mother, sister, daughter. But the real question here is, how did they imagine, to behave this way in a human being, in a human being.

Many people mistakenly think that this is a gender war, imposed on men as a whole. But this is not a gender war, this is a war for our humanity.

There is an archaic position, according to which a woman who dresses as she wishes and even dares to drink "like a man", whose blood is allowed and her genitals are allowed. It's outrageous to think that there are people who think that way nowadays.

There were those who pointed an accusing finger at the victim and her parents. But blaming the victim is not only in the public discourse but also within the courts. Judge Kapf, who was also appointed a district court judge, said in one of the cases before him that "the defendant is indeed a wolf, but the minor is not Little Red Riding Hood at all, ... she was permissive in nature." The fact that the judge understood the extent of the defendant's guilt does not in any way diminish from the responsibility he bears, responsibility for further harm to the victim.

I also remember another statement, by Supreme Court Justice Yitzhak Amit, who wrote in a verdict, personally addressing the victim: "The victim, do not take on even a pinch of guilt or shame."

I read a post about a woman who was raped, in which she asked that they stop saying that the girl was murdered because she has a chance and a future. I wish the girl and every woman and man who was raped, hope and recovery. But the ability to be the women they could be was robbed of them. Their souls, their souls were robbed from them by a congregation of the wicked. That does not mean they will not know happiness, but they will not be who they were meant to be, their lives have changed forever.

We hear from all sides, that we should say thank you for everything. It is unfortunate that we live in a time when every woman who has not been attacked should say thank you for that.

In an age where a dome on the head is enough to evade severe punishment, in an age where a well-known actor, who used his power as a national game asset, was given half a year of service work for two indecent offenses, for which he was convicted when he was charged with numerous sexual assaults. In an age where we have forgotten about the horrific rape of a 7-year-old girl, in an age where the boys from Cyprus are received with a loud shout, as if they were "our good sons", in an age where the victim is guilty as long as no innocence is proven, it is no wonder that women's blood is allowed.

And if already women, then why not allow the blood of children and toddlers as well. It is impossible to talk about the shocking rape and moral bankruptcy that pervades the country, among other things, as a result of the lack of appropriate education and deterrent punishment, without addressing the criminal abuse among kindergarten children.

In recent years we have been exposed to severe abuse of children, visiting us of all, the helpless. But the phenomenon of punitive mitigation for offenders who harm children is not a new phenomenon. As early as 2010, a document was submitted to the Constitution and Justice Law Committee, in which a case was presented in which the state failed to deal with a serial sex offender, a professional teacher, whose exploits lasted 14 years. The offender has been prosecuted 4 times for sexually abusing children. In the first case, he was sentenced to nine months probation. In the second case, he received six months of community service and 24 months probation. Only in the fourth case in which he was prosecuted did he receive 25 years in prison.

As early as 2016, the Committee on the Rights of the Child discussed the lack of supervision in kindergartens and daycare centers and the incompetence of the enforcement system. MK Itzik Shmuli presented data at the time, according to which 90% of cases of child abuse that are closed without an indictment are closed due to a lack of evidence that two-year-olds cannot testify. Even then, he tried to promote a bill that would require security cameras The children, and the private nurseries. At the same hearing, Dr. Yitzhak Kadman - former director of the Child Welfare Council, said that deterrence should be increased, using cameras or other means, so that the caregiver thinks twice before committing abuse.

Finally, the law for the installation of cameras in daycare centers was published at the end of 2018. But only from 01/09/2020, did all the dormitories to which the law applies to install cameras apply. No one gave a thought, what would happen to the children and we all came to know what happened to some of the children.

Another important problem is the lack of prerequisites for working as an assistant. To drive a car you need a license, to be a doctor you have to pass a personality test and of course, you have to get a license, to be a lawyer you need a license. But to keep helpless children? It's enough to have a pulse.

There is no doubt that these horrific acts to which we are exposed, are most often the result of a failed education, at home and abroad. The question arises, with regard to the children who have been abused, these adults they will grow up to be, knowing and understanding that those who trust in their well-being, have harmed them.

I will end with the words of Justice Barak, "Man to man - not a wolf, not an angel; man to man - man."

Be human.
