Started as a rebellous 13 year old
only to become an addict
I spent 10 years of my life waiting for that special someone. Over a 16 year time span, and I can sit here and honestly tell you I waited for the one.
As a young teen im sure we can all agree we had some type of rebellion in us. If we didn't have to rebel then that just meant we had no one to answer to. Since I was 12 years old I would go to sleep and pray to GOD; Yes pray to God that he would send me my prince charming by the time I was 17. Although the legal age of an adult is 18; I prayed for 17 because I knew then if I had to fight for my freedom then I'd only have to fight for a year. A year was nothing when you just waited 5 years to just get close to 18. If that makes sense.
So fast forward a year, so I was 13. Sneaking out, getting picked up from down the street from my parents house at 12AM; finally, I was able to do what I want in a span of 6 hours or so. All the places my parents told me I couldn't go and all the things that they said I couldnt do; I could after 12AM.
One night, I walked into Ihop. I had my friend pick me up from down the street, I did my makeup in a hurry and then I walked out of my room, into the hallway, out the sliding screen door, and then out the back door past my great dane, and out the fence. Not looking back but running like someone was chasing me I often pretended I was being chased by zombies. This is where it began for me.
Sneaking out at 12 staying out until 5AM. I knew my dad woke up at 5:15 so getting home was crucial sometimes. Sometimes I would hide outside until he left for work and rush inside when he left. If my parents found out I was sneaking out, they would have made my life hellx10. They would have taken away everything and made me go stay with my aunt during the day, and it was boring over there. I always felt so fake when I was there. I had to play nice.
Anyways back to ihop, I was sitting down and all of a sudden I see this Guy in a big hoodie coming my way. The guy walks to our table and says hello to my best friend, whom was 6 years older than I. I was 12 turning 13 and he was 18 turning 19. I remember sitting there laughing and talking to everyone. Before I knew it, it was like 2:30, it was time for me to get moving. So as we were leaving I see the friend pull my best friend to the side. My best friend comes back to me and my friend Klarisa and says hey, Dee, he wants to you to ride with him to my house, in his car. He wants to talk to you... My thought turned into my voice and blurted out, I dont wanna go with him; he isnt my type. EW. David kept begging me please, just go with him hes cool please.... So I went. He had a badass 2003 Ford Mustang, this car was loud as f***. Super fast, super charged, super just omg! The car was impressive, but since I was 13 I knew I was going to be someone. That s*** never impressed me; I knew I was able to do for myself. Mustang boy had me laughing the whole entire ride to Davids. I was a 12 year old that just fell inlove with this person who I hardly knew and all he had to do was make me laugh a couple times...
Many more nights were spent with this 18 year old guy. He had a nice car, his own house, a brand new street bike, and a family car. (He had a child from a previous relationship. This is where I began.
