Reason First: How Selfish or Selfless Is Jason Salinas?
The suspected rapist and threatener has confessed to some of his crimes. But is he an egoist or an altruist?

When it comes to alleged rapists and those who make threats against a Maryland high school, such miscreants ought to have bigger problems than just being nabbed. Thanks to the police, Jason Salinas, 20, ended his puny operation of causing havoc against his former school. What does this mean psychologically for this young male? The very thought of allegedly issuing threats and being involved in suspected second-degree rape and third degree sexual misconduct is appalling. What happened in his mind? Was there a point where Salinas’ morality collapsed into chaos in his brain? What we can be certain of is the fact that another vicious male will not be on the streets to commit crimes.
Salinas is just one example of thousands of young males and females frustrated at their lives. They harbor a sense that something just isn’t right in the world. But instead of being involved in proactive pursuits, they choose a life that is evil. It is the mental makeup that separates the rational, first-handed people from those who wish to do harm or threaten to do so. Selflessness and unselfishness are at the forefront for why these abominations continue their wicked ways. To sacrifice one’s mind is to say that one is unfit for living. To wild out and start the act of force is the signet which brands these males and females as vicious. In Salinas’ case, he never used his mind. His willingness to not think led to his downfall. Absent the mind, he decided to forsake reason and abuse his freedom. Well, now he has severely limited liberty. Of all the evils that he has supposedly committed, one of the first remains the fact that he banished purpose. This is the true root to all evil. He had not applied himself to something productive. By not making, building, or creating, he just pushed for an agenda of destruction.
Like a monster too wicked for the outside world, Salinas ought to be clutched by the cold hand of justice until breath escapes his lungs for the last time. Or what about medical castration or even the death penalty? Shouldn’t rapists who disregard the individual rights of the citizens be afforded an action of justice compatible with his acts? Salinas chose to make threats allegedly and to involve himself in the acts of rape and sexual abuse. Why didn’t he have enough mind to learn a trade like studying code? What is it that caused him to leap into wretchedness? The lack of a sense of self propelled him to allegedly violate the rights of others. This disrespect for the very essence that makes an individual an individual led to every harsh act that it is thought that Salinas committed. His desire to be purposeless and to recklessly go through life have guided him to this low state.
His inability to deal with the real world has now positioned him to possibly spend a good chunk of time behind the wall. Rather than to think and plan and make rational decisions, Salinas slumped lower and lower on the scale of ethics. For his crimes, some of which he confessed to, Salinas ought to first experience the simulated hell of prison and then be put to death. He ought to feel the pain of his survivors who encountered his brutish nature. Is it possible for leniency? No. Some breaches of morality are irredeemable. For Salinas, this happens to be one of them. If anything, he should be allowed no amenities or special treatment during his stay in the carceral system. He ought to be made an example of someone who has committed crimes and must face his fate without reprieve.
