NIGHTMARE NIGHBOR

THE NEIGHBOR FROM HELL

By Queen CeeCeePublished 5 years ago 5 min read

I moved into an apartment complex in April of last year. Me and my daughter were living together, I just wanted my own place, my own space. Now I wish I had of waited before I moved into this place. The shooting and people fighting every other weekend and my upstairs neighbor fighting with someone. One night I heard her daughter, crying telling them to stop. I called the police because I thought it was a man jumping abusing her. The police road around the neighborhood that night, and never did got of their cars. I thought that was odd, I told them that I thought that my neighbor was in trouble. I forgot what type of neighbor I was in. Well, this went on over other weekend. I soon found out that it wasn't a man she was fighting with, it was someone she called her sister. When it happen again, I didn't bother to call the police. I just was concerned about her daughter who had to witness this.

Within a month of being in my apartment, one of the maintenance men told men that the apartment managers are into something illegal. I didn't ask him what he meant, but I was tempted. I really thing that much about it. But it did cross my mind from time to time. One night when my grandchildren were at my apartment, my upstairs neighbor sent me a plate. Was a little burnt, but it was the thought that count. Every since then we started talking about anything. She even invited me to her apartment to have a few drinks. She even knocked on my door one morning to ask me could I cook grits for her and her daughter, because she didn't know how to cook them good. I was more than happy to. I cooked the grits and she cooked the rest of the breakfast. I thought that we were getting close. I started thinking of her as one of my daughters and her daughter as one of my grandchildren. But soon that all changed. She started making a lot of noise upstairs, playing loud music early in the morning. Even putting trash in front of my door. One morning I heard her telling someone that I had stolen her bank card out of her mailbox. Now she was going too far. I wrote her a letter a couple of days later telling her that I wouldn't never take anything from her. She knocked on my door and told me that her card ended up at her grandmother's house. After she said my mind went blank. She knew that her card went to her grandmother's house, and she didn't say anything to me. I wasn't really looking for an apology. But I felt that she should have a least let me know, she did tell the neighborhood that I stole it. But she still had a problem with me for some reason. She even yelled at my grandchildren for asking her who bikes where in front of my door, because we didn't want anything to happen to them while they were there. The next day me and my grandchildren were walking back to my apartment. She was yelling out of the car to tell my grandchildren to stay off her porch. I tried to tell her that they didn't mean any harm, she began to cuss me out and threaten me. Later, the apartment manager came to my apartment and asked me what was going on. And that my neighbor had my grandchildren on camera. I asked her doing what, besides asking her about the bikes there were in front of my door that we had to step over to get to my apartment. She couldn't tell me, because she knew they didn't nothing wrong. She said just tell them not to go back up her stairs. I was fine with that, but still thought she was being petty. She even got in my face right in front of the apartment manager. But when I was standing up for myself the apartment manager said something. Right thing I knew that something wasn't right with them. For three months, my neighbor was bullying me. Calling me names and threaten to cause me bodily harm. I showed pictures of trash that she put in front of door. And told her how she keeps threaten me. She said she couldn't do anything about that. I asked her could she just move me into another one bedroom apartment she said she couldn't because I was behind in my rent. Yes I was behind in my rent in she knew why. This women even wanted to fight me on Christmas day when my oldest daughter came to get me to eat with her and my grandchildren. We both ignored her. Jan. 17, 2021, she really went too far. I was cooking Sunday dinner for my son and his girlfriend. I texted my son and asked him was he still coming. He said he was. As I was waiting on him, I ordered something from gopuff. The lady from gopuff came before my son did. She notice a device by my door. We both couldn't make out what it was. She said that it looked like a massager, so I picked it up. I planned to take it to the office on Tuesday. Right after the gopuff driver left, my upstairs banged on my door, cussing me out and threaten to hurt me if I didn't give her camera back. So, I called the police, because I wasn't about to open the door the way she was behaving, I didn't know who she had with her. She bust my bedroom window so I grabbed my bat. When my son and his girlfriend pulled up, She began hitting his car with some object. Then my youngest daughter came and asked her to show her on her phone where I came up her stairs and took her camera. She threw her own phone down and attacked my daughter. That's when I came outside with pepper spray, and my bat. I gave my daughter the bat and then my oldest daughter came. My upstairs neighbor ran, yelling that we were trying to kill her.

To maker a long story short, my neighbor and the apartments managers plotted to force me out of the apartment. Because due to the pandemic, They couldn't evict me, especially when I was paying on my rent.
