NATIONWIDE INVESTIGATION Sober Drivers Across The U.S. Are Getting Arrested For DUI And A New Investigation Shows It's A National Problem

What should happen to these innocent drivers?

If your sobriety is evident, why would a cop stop and arrest you? This happened to a Hawaiian man when he was pulled over by the police. He had no alcohol or drugs in his system, yet the officer placed him in the back of the cruiser nonetheless.

It’s happening more and more across the country. People are being pulled over such as Justin Beary who has autism and made a mistake by saying had ADHD. But that still didn’t qualify him as driving under the influence of alcohol. He had just got done working a forty hour shift.

He performed a field sobriety test and arrested the Alabama man for DUI.

Now, this is where common sense comes into play. Cops should use discretion and discernment when dealing with the public. They should be able to say that people with disabilities and those who never drink or smoke marijuana or use other drugs should not be given a test and especially not arrested.

There has to be a line with being cautious and having simple logic when it comes to people driving on the roads. While it is rational to stop cars suspected of impaired drivers, officers must use reason to better serve the public. As DUI stops continue, let them only be for those who actually intend to drive under the influence, it creates an ironic scenario.

While there are drunk or high drivers all over the nation, they go unchecked while those with no offenses against them get sent to jail for showing a negative result to their sobriety tests.

Those who still think that there is too much force being waged against citizens who have shown no broken laws, just remember that a research test brought out the truth. Their suspicions became confirmed when the test displayed that those who took a placebo had failed against others who ingested marijuana.

The system is obviously fractured if not completely broken.

What is required is the increase in training. The thinking minds behind the force’s chiefs and commissioners must be behind the programs to stop these false sobriety tests.

Too many drivers experience the test and then go to jail when they never violated any rules of the road. Whatever the problem is with the various police outfits, they ought to save their time with motorists who have no real problems and focus on the actual criminals who wish to violate the rights of other citizens.

The way that these cops can just do this limits their great records. They should be recognized for protecting individual rights. For the time they take from people who show negative results on their tests, they should be compensated in some particular way.

All the people who have been pulled over only to show no signs of alcohol or drugs should be given a monetary benefit based on their pain and suffering. They should be given a chance to make videos about cops who should be more aware of the situations.

To consider the individuals who experience being accused falsely, they ought to be able to understand their rights and be given some kind of immunity against the onslaught of improper police procedures.

Everyone who just wanted to go home or to another destination should be offered some way to keep the justice together. It didn’t serve them to be administered a sobriety test so police officers should be doing sobriety tests on themselves. They should be allowed to go from embarrassment to favor. The power of their honesty and the grace of reality should afford them the possibility of being given the chance to continue to drive without drinking or drugging. Their records should be cleared and expunged so that they can be on the same level as before they had been stopped.
