When that resident girl came to her in-laws' house as a bride, no one had imagined that after just a few days she would become a widow. Lalaban, a resident of Bathinda in Punjab, got married with great pomp and red colored dress.When she reached her home, she looked so beautiful that everyone kept looking at her.She was blessed to remain married forever but no one knows the intentions of this 14 year old girl.

She lived alone with her husband, everything was fine for about three-four months.But suddenly Lalaban started moving away from her husband. She used to live with her husband but her eyes were on someone else, then what was there? Only 6 months after the marriage, her husband died.The news spread throughout the village. Death of Lalaban's husband was not natural. 14 year old Lalaban had killed her husband.Lalaban had poisoned her husband. This 15 year old girl would cry, wash and do all the activities.The girl was playing the role very well. At the age of 15, Lalaban was widowed for the second time. Everyone was blessed by Lalaban's luck.

This sequence continued with one man after another. Lalaban kept on killing the person whom she married for 6 months.Before that person would have been killed, people would blame him, some would pity him, some would show hatred.

She kills each of her husbands and herself becomes a black widow in the white century. By the age of 20, Lalaban had become a widow 16 times, neither educated nor very intelligent.But she gained expertise in committing murder.
