"BELGRADE, Maine (WGME) -- A 26-year-old Maine man has been charged with attempted murder after authorities say a woman was shot at a home in Belgrade on Sunday.

Maine State Police got a 911 call about a shooting at a home at 15 Point Road around 11 a.m.

Troopers say a 58-year-old woman, who lives at the home, was transported via LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries. She was later transported to a Boston hospital. She is expected to survive.

According to state police, the victim's family member, 26-year-old Samuel Bell, was arrested on Guptill Road following the shooting. Bell was charged with attempted murder and elevated aggravated assault."
