Mafia's girl | part-2

One Woman's Journey to a New Life After Tragedy and Violence

By TauroiPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Maria was in the basement office, working on some paperwork, when the door burst open and a group of armed men stormed in. Maria recognized them as a rival mafia group that her organization had been feuding with for months.

Panic set in as Maria realized that she was in grave danger. She scrambled to hide behind a desk as the men began shooting at anyone who crossed their path. Chaos reigned as the two groups clashed in a violent and bloody battle.

Maria felt like she was living a nightmare. She had never seen such brutality and she knew that she could be killed at any moment. She huddled behind the desk, trying to stay as small and quiet as possible, praying that the violence would end soon.

And then she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. "Maria! Maria, where are you?"

It was Marco. He had come to rescue her. Maria's heart leaped with joy at the sound of his voice, and she crawled out from behind the desk, desperate to find him.

They found each other in the chaos, and Marco grabbed Maria's hand, pulling her along as he tried to lead her to safety. But the rival mafia group was still wreaking havoc, and they were soon spotted.

Maria watched in horror as Marco was hit by a hail of bullets, falling to the ground with a thud. She screamed his name, but it was too late. He was gone.

For Maria, that was the breaking point. She had always known that the mafia was a dangerous world, but she had never been so directly affected by the violence. She knew that she could no longer be a part of it.

With Marco's death, something inside her changed. She knew that she couldn't keep living in fear, that she had to take control of her life and make a change. She decided that she would leave the mafia and start a new life.

It wasn't easy. Maria knew that the mafia would never just let her go. She had seen what happened to people who tried to leave, and she knew that she would be a target for the rest of her life. But she was determined.

With the help of some friends she trusted, Maria was able to leave town and start a new life in a different city. She changed her name, cut ties with everyone she knew from her old life, and started over.

It wasn't easy at first. Maria had to work hard to build a new life for herself, but she was determined to make it work. She got a job at a café, made some new friends, and slowly started to feel like she was building a new identity for herself.

But even as she tried to move on, Maria couldn't escape the memories of her past. She was haunted by the things she had seen and done, and she knew that she could never truly forget. But she was determined to make something good out of the bad.

One day, as she was working at the café, Maria noticed a man sitting at one of the tables. He looked familiar, but she couldn't quite place him. And then he looked up and caught her eye.

It was her father.

Maria's heart skipped a beat as she saw him. She had heard nothing from him since his arrest, and she had assumed that he was still in prison. But here he was, sitting in her café, looking up at her with a mix of surprise and relief.

They talked for a long time that day, catching up on all the things that had happened since they last saw each other. Maria told her father about her new life, and he listened intently, proud of the daughter he had raised.

As they talked, Maria's father began to open up about his time in the mafia. He told her about the things he had seen and done, the people he had hurt and the lives he had ruined...
