There was a girl named Olivia that lived in Cincinnati Ohio. She was 17 years old. Her grandmother helped raise her. Her mother was drug addicted and her father lived states away. Olivia’s grandmother was dying and for the past year she woke up everyday and wrote in a little black book she kept next to her bed. Olivia always asked and wondered what grandmother was writing in her book, but when she inquired about it grandmother told her “in due time”.
One day Olivia was sleeping and having a horrible dream. She was dreaming her grandmother had disappeared and left her a note that said “ don’t tell anyone and don’t come looking for me I’m ok” Olivia woke from her sleep and ran to her grandmothers room. Once she approached her sleeping grandmother she realized she wasn’t breathing. She touched her hand and it was cold. Olivia fell to her knees and screamed out loud. Grandmothers hand fell from the bed and her little black book was in her hand. Olivia quickly grabbed it put it in her pocket and sobbed uncontrollably. Her mother came in the room and screamed “Mother!” She shrieked frantically beginning to shake and move erratically. Her mother looked at her and asked did grandmother mention the little black book. Olivia shook her head no and pushed the book down into her pocket further. Her mother suggested that they comb the room for anything grandmother may be hiding before they called the police but Olivia went Against that notion accusing her mother of being a selfish addict and she snatched the phone from her and called 911. Her mother proceeded to comb the room looking for change and reading through letters. Olivia wondered what her mother was up to but she remained calm and remembered what grandmother said in her dreams.
Once the coroner came and removed grandmothers body, Olivia went to her room and locked the door. She pulled the little black book out and began to read it. She was surprised at what she was reading. The book was a letter to her. It read....
“My dearest Olivia, if you are reading this she finally won. By that I mean your desperate for high mother. She has been poisoning my food for 15 months. I knew eventually she would find a way so I stopped fighting. Your mother is jealous of you Olivia. She has used me up for just about every dime I had. But she didn’t get everything! Your mother is not who you think she is and when she is needing to get High she can be very dangerous. Your mother threatened to beat me in my head with a bat if I ever told anyone she was poisoning me and trying to get me to give her everything in my will. I told her I was leaving everything to my sweet Olivia. You are my love and sunshine. If you keep reading you will see documented events of each time she poisoned me and what she was using. I don’t have cancer Olivia I’m sick from the cleaning chemicals she pours in my coffee and soups. To top it off she doubles up on my heart and blood pressure medicine causing me to sleep and have no energy. I didn’t want to keep fighting her she has wanted me dead for so long, so I decided to except it and prepare for my death. Olivia I have buried 20,000 dollars by the tree I planted for you the day we brought you home from the hospital.ITS YOURS! Don’t tell your mother and please don’t worry about me, I’m fine by this time I’m off with sweet Jesus safe in his arms. Your mother has rearranged my will and signed for power of attorney so anything in the bank and on file she will have rights to take from you so let her have it. She has no idea about the money I buried for you. I’m sorry you have to find out things this way but it was the only safe way I could talk to you. She is always watching and listening. I love you Olivia please forgive me for hiding this. Don’t worry about your mother her day will come in the meantime you take the money and get the hell away from her. Always love Grandmother.”
Olivia was furious. She was confused and so angry. She just wanted to scream. She couldn’t believe that her mother really killed the only person who loved her. All to get high. Grandmother is never coming back and now Olivia is left with only one thing to do.......... KILL MOTHER!
