12-year-old Murderer?

Demeria Hollingsworth and her older cousin were spending the summer at their grandmother's home in Humboldt, a western Tennessee town. The young person then allegedly moved the victim's body and cleaned up the scene. 

 Agee described the incident as "one of the most disturbing violent acts" his office has ever prosecuted, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges against the accused juvenile. Due to the gravity of the crime and the juvenile's age, Agee's office intends to petition for the case to be transferred to Circuit Court, where she could potentially be tried as an adult, resulting in a more severe sentence if convicted.

Rayana Smith, the victim's mother, expressed profound grief over her daughter's death, recalling her final moments with Demeria and the senselessness of the incident. The mother also stated, "I just lost my baby, the most beautiful child of God," on the fundraising website. "The pain I am experiencing is unbearable. I now have to live my life without her in this crazy world."
