Toke Makinwa Addresses Allegations of Sleeping With Men for Money

Nigerian actress, OAP, influencer and self-acclaimed baby girl for life Toke Makinwa is one woman who people either really or really don't like. Toke has spent her entire career promoting the "baby girl lifestyle" which constitutes exotic trips, high fashion, and affluence. Because of how lavish her life is, many people attribute her success to men and claim that she got to where she is today because she sleeps with rich men.

Now, Toke is talking about that accusation. During an interview with actor and rapper Ikechukwu for his show Drinks With Killz, the two got into a conversation about it and here's what Toke said.

Ikechukwu - You're doing things that people want to do which is why you'll continue to have a lot of haters.

Toke - Sometimes I wish they cared about things like this. They would always care about who Toke Makinwa is sleeping with or try to attribute my success to men.

Ikechukwu - It's because they see how high your thing is to knock down so when they can't hail it, any small thing (they want to knock down)

Toke - I stopped even arguing with people. These days, I'm like yeah you think I'm fucking around to get all the shit I got, no problem. You got a peen or a vagina too, why don't you fuck around? Let's sit at the table and talk about how hard it is.

Ikechukwu - But you're a single woman, you're allowed to do what you wanna do

Toke - That is besides the point because it's not about being single or married because people just find a way to make you feel small. "She's this successful but don't act like God isn't blessing your hustle, do you know all the things she's doing? Do you know all the men she's sleeping with?" And I'm like hmm. Okay. These days, I don't even say yes or no. I'm like my shit is clearly selling because you know what? It's quite insulting to look at me and reduce me to having to spread my legs because you and I know that with the brand I've built, I meet people who will do things for me for free. I don't need to pay for phones, I don't need to pay for holidays, I don't need to pay for certain things, I meet people who know who you are and they just want to be like "Oh my God hi" and they give you money, they give you envelopes. So that's besides the point. But if you're going to now bring it down to my vagina, great! All I'm gonna say to you is dude, you have a peen or vagina don't you? Let's do this exercise at the start of the year: start ho-ing around and let's meet at the end of the year and see if your hoing has produced for you what it has for me. And if it's hasn't, maybe you'll realize that not that many people get by from hoing. Yeah, men will give you certain things but at the end of the day, how sustainable is it? It's been years and years of hard work.

Ikechukwu - And if anybody knows anything about that business in this town, they know that majority of the babes who are collecting are not collecting to a point where they can save and build.

Toke - Because the men want you to continue to collect. They will never establish you. They will never build you up. And some of the times, most of the people who help you are not even the people who sleep with you.
