I'm still struggling with losing you

Dear Linkie,

It has been a while since I last wrote to you. I just wanted to let you know that we are okay. The other animals are severely lacking in your department. They don't fuss at the water bowl when it's empty like you did. Little man takes after you which is super funny. We claim that you were really "his dad" with the way you treated him and the way he's growing up.. The house is a bit quieter without you here. I miss you more than you know.

The girls ask about you all the time. They have even added a wolf stuffie to your ofrenda that I have in our shed that you never got to see. I could feel you feel happier once it was placed next to you. I miss the way you played with the kids and to see their little faces smiling because they had "broke" you was everything. The gentleness you had with little man wasn't something I was not used to. You were rough and very hyper. However, once your little man was in the playing field, you'd lay there and keep him warm. My favorite memory was when the girls dressed you up like a princess. Crown and with a fantastic "gown". You looked amazing "Princess" Link.

We think about you every day. Something would remind us of you and we'd have a little cry. I still cry over you. I miss my best friend. We had been through a lot together. Almost being stolen three times by people in who we could trust. Every non-emergency and/or emergency vet for your seizures or you, naughty boy had gotten into something you weren't supposed to get into. Every penny we spent on you was worth it. I wouldn't change it for the world.

I just wanted to write and let you know that we still think of you and we miss you every day. This cancer journey without you has been hard since you were there for the first journey. You were a comfort to me then, and I wish you were here now.

I love you Link, now and forever. Please keep watching over us. Protect us as the magnificent wolf you are.

With Love,

Mommy.
