Tiffany Epiphany
A tribute to my friend Tiffany Gordon

One of the many definitions of the word epiphany is - a manifestation of a divine or supernatural being. I believe this to be very true, especially when we talk about our relationships with the people in our lives.
Last year I was looking to stretch my legs as a young writer. I was looking for an outlet where I could not only express myself, but possibly generate some kind of revenue for my writing. Low and behold I found a great platform on social media call Vocal.com. When I became an official writer for Vocal media I published some successful stories and met countless amazing writers along the way. Don’t mean to sound cliché, but there are almost too many to name. One name I definitely can’t go without mentioning is Tiffany Gordon.
Tiffany Gordon is a writer for Vocal media, among many other things, but she is also one of the most supportive people I have ever met and she is a great friend of mine. Tiffany was one of the earliest writers I started networking with when I first signed up for Vocal. I really enjoyed reading her poems and stories because they were so emotionally pure. When Tiffany writes something you can literally feel the emotion behind her every word and there was always a colorful personality behind her soul bearing work. It’s like there was a lighthearted hint of humor that was left behind in her stories to ensure that the reader was definitely gonna come back for more of her soul bearing work.
When my Vocal profile started taking off she was abd still is one of the most reactive supporters of all my work. She always left a like and a comment, along other blessings of positive feedback for everything I write. As much as I wish I could hog Tiffany all to myself, that just wouldn’t be possible or even appropriate. The truth is Tiffany has this charismatic and loving effect on everyone in our community who has had the privilege of interacting with her on this platform. She is truly one of the most dedicated and supportive members of our community. When she is here she brings with her the warm glow that is her spirit.
There have been times when Tiffany took a break from Vocal for herself and the spirit of the community just didn’t seem as lively without her. I personally can remember not being as inspired to write as much in her absence as much as I was in her presence. Here is a woman who most of not all of us in the Vocal community have never even met before in real life and yet she such a good friend and inspiration to us more than a lot of the people we do know. For me personally, Tiffany is living proof that true loving friendship is in the heart, even if you never actually see the person.
I don’t believe that any one person here is better thanbb by the next. We all are unique creatures with amazing gifts to contribute as writers, but I do believe that a heart life Tiffany’s is the one we should all aspire to have. Like Tiffany, we should be supportive and interactive with each other because it lifts spirit and builds character and we should write with our hearts and emotions and not just a clever sense of grammar and thinking.
Another thing about our friend Tiffany is she has a interesting love for dolls. A lot of people might interpret dolls as a children’s thing, but I’ll never forget how another one of my favorite writers named Stephen King always expressed how who we were as children is the purest form of who we are at heart. I think Tiffany’s love for dolls is an expression of how she never forgets to stay in tune with that purest form of who she was in her most innocent of days and always staying in tune with that person is why she is the living and supportive individual in this community who we treasure so much.
~~Dedicated to our friend Tiffany Gordon. We thank you for always being loving and supportive.
