Description:
This true story reveals the power of God speaking through an ordinary moment. With no warning and no plan, words flowed that confirmed the truth about Jesus as the Son of God. It is a reminder that God still speaks, and His voice brings both clarity and purpose.

This Is My Beloved Son:
God spoke through me to my nephew about Jesus being the Son of God.
My nephew worked for me at the pizza shop. He handled the fryer, cooking chicken, wings, fish, appetizers, and other items.
One day, we were having a debate about Jesus. He insisted that Jesus never directly called Himself the Son of God. He said Jesus allowed others to refer to Him that way, but never claimed it Himself. As a Christian, that unsettled me because I knew what my nephew said was technically accurate.
During our conversation, without even thinking about it, I responded, “Remember the voice that came from heaven saying, ‘This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’” It wasn’t me speaking, it was God. Those words flowed effortlessly from my lips, words I hadn’t even consciously considered. God spoke clearly through me that day.
Right after those words came out of my mouth, I knew exactly what to say. I continued it, saying that Jesus would never have said that he was the son of God because the voice had already said it, the voice from heaven, the almighty God.
If any of the disciples, or anyone else, had asked Jesus whether the voice from heaven was right, and if He truly was the Son of God as the voice declared, Jesus would have responded in one of two ways. He might have looked at the person and said, “Do you not believe the word of my Father, the Almighty God?” Or, He might have chosen to remain silent and say nothing at all.
The reason is simple: if Jesus had said, “Yes, I am the Son of God,” it would have implied that He was confirming the truth of God’s own words. But God’s word doesn’t need confirmation, not even from Jesus Himself. Had He responded with a direct “yes,” it could have appeared as if God’s authority required validation, which would diminish the divine weight of the Father’s voice.
To me, that’s another beautiful proof of the accuracy and integrity of the Bible.
I know that God spoke through me to my nephew while he was working. I know this because it was not me, and it was not even a thought in my mind to say those words. I felt the words come out of me as if they were being pushed through. After I spoke them, I immediately knew exactly what to say next. Not only did God speak something to teach my nephew, but He also taught me.
One thing I have learned about God is that He never does anything for just one reason. Everything he does has a greater purpose, often more than one. He is a God of many layers and meanings. He is everything.
