The Journey Ahead

Looking what lies beneath in order to grow wings and fly

For those whom are reading this, thank you. It’s taken awhile for me to come to terms with the past like many of us that has done the same. So many of my decisions has been left for others to make. So much effort that I made to others as if to make a big investment in hopes to wrap the benefits in the end. Concluded with myself that all of the work that’s out onto others will turn out better for us. People matter because I didn’t. For a time there was so much that was affecting the results of my labor. What mattered to others is what mattered to me.

The pain that was endured and what once assumed “normal” was the confusion of a helpless little child who had trouble communicating to the world. Surrounded by so much uncomfortable negligence and yet by the influences of fictional entertainment, I rely dormant. Biding my time in hopes that it will all be over. Lying in wait for the knight in shining armor to come to my side to wisp me away. The Merlin to the King Arthur. Authority figures like parents and teachers had a hard enough time figuring out their own life that they barely can even handle a child as quite as I was let alone a school of children (I was referring to the teachers here. You know, because parents don’t have a school of kids. Unless they are teachers too but that’s beside the point).

In order for us to move forward we need to identify and understand the past. While of course we come back every now and then. That’s mostly due the idea of nostalgia and comparison to the feelings we shared with the humans we had the experience with. Not to worry though, we all go through some way, shape or form. What I’m simply pointing out is, in order to live in the present, you will have to forgive your past. Hope for a better future while making sure your present time is the best made from. Once we start making a room for our past to live in, all we will end up doing is comparing and self judging ourselves to someone that isn’t even the same anymore. It’s alright to change because that’s what life is about.

Change happens when we begin to learn and grow. Take some falls but stay climbing out of the dark spots. Make mistakes so you become stronger. Strong for yourself and not for others. Often times it seems so much easier to have others be responsible for our feelings. Regardless of the cause and effect, only we have the power and choice to react in any way we want. We can care way too much about how others effect us or just not care at all and focus on doing the next thing in our life while being better.

Now I’m not suggesting dismiss anyone who offers help or tries to guide you. Oh no. Just understanding when it comes to you and the decisions you make, falls on how you react and move forward with it. Others can have their own opinion but unless there’s a weapon held against you or some magicians manipulation going on, you are it. No seriously, you are. It can take a second or a hot minute to gather yourself but you have the power to negate the stuff that doesn’t promote growth or provide benefit to you in the most uplifting or positive way. Remember that it is your life and nobody else’s. The things that you go through builds you to the person that you are now. In the present time. So take that deep breath and count to ten if you have to because when you get that moment to look back at all that you have been through, you will see that are not the same person, you are a better you.
