Story part: 4

(Dark Romance part :4)

Bristy went into the room and walked toward the balcony.

The balcony was quite large. Several potted flower plants were lined up, and beside them was a swing. Bristy sat down on the swing. Just then, her eyes fell on a guitar nearby. She picked it up and started examining it curiously.

A strange feeling washed over her—she felt as though she had been here before. Everything seemed oddly familiar. And Shrabon… he felt like someone very close to her.

But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t recall anything.

As Bristy strained her mind to remember, a severe headache gripped her. Unable to bear the pain, she eventually lost consciousness…

After finishing his meal, Shrabon returned to the room.

Not finding Bristy there, he started calling her name.

When there was no response, a terrifying thought crossed his mind—

Had Bristy run away from him?

The idea itself made his blood boil. Clenching his fists and grinding his teeth, he muttered to himself:

— “Bristy, if you’ve really run away from here… you can’t even imagine what I’ll do to you. I’ve been gentle because of your memory loss. But if you’ve run—I'll forget all about it. Just let me find you once.”

He stormed out to search for her.

But something made him glance toward the balcony.

When he didn’t see anyone there either, he turned to leave—

Then his eyes caught the floor.

Bristy was lying unconscious on the balcony floor, holding Shrabon’s guitar.

Shrabon rushed to her, panic setting in.

He placed her head on his lap and frantically called out:

— “Jaan! Jaan! What happened to you? Bristy, what’s wrong? Why are you lying here like this? Say something, Bristy, talk to me!”

He kept calling her like a madman, but Bristy remained unresponsive.

Without wasting another moment, he carried her to the car and drove straight to the hospital.

At the hospital, after examining Bristy, the doctor turned to Shrabon and said:

— “Mr. Shrabon, your wife needs rest right now. Please come with me.”

Shrabon gently stroked Bristy’s hair before following the doctor to his office.

The doctor spoke as he sat down:

— “From what I understand based on what you told me and what I observed, your wife suffered severe head trauma during the accident. That’s likely the cause of her memory loss. Today, she probably tried to forcefully recall her past, which caused her to lose consciousness.”

Shrabon asked, with clear concern in his voice:

— “Doctor… will Bristy ever recover her lost memories?”

— “Yes, she will. But I can’t say when exactly. One more thing, Mr. Shrabon—never try to force her to remember. Doing so could cause serious damage, possibly even drive her insane.”

Shrabon nodded solemnly:

— “I understand, Doctor. I won’t try to force her to remember anything. Just… please make her better.”

The doctor smiled gently.

— “Your wife is very lucky, Mr. Shrabon—to be loved this deeply. Don’t worry, she’ll recover soon. Just be patient, and remember—no pressure, no forcing the past.”

— “I’ll remember that,” Shrabon replied. “I won’t force her in any way.”

He then left for Bristy’s cabin.

As Shrabon walked away, the doctor smiled to himself and muttered:

— “I never would’ve believed that a man with such a temper could be so madly in love—until I met Shrabon Chowdhury.”

When Shrabon entered the cabin, his expression suddenly darkened.

His jaw clenched, fists tightened—

He saw Niel sitting beside Bristy, holding her hand.

Niel’s parents stood nearby.

The moment Bristy noticed Shrabon, she quickly pulled her hand away from Niel’s—

She remembered Shrabon had warned her not to mention any other man’s name.

If he saw Niel holding her hand, she didn’t know what Shrabon might do.

Out of fear, she distanced herself.

Surprised, Niel asked:

— “What’s wrong, Neela? Why did you pull your hand away from mine?”

Before Bristy could respond, Shrabon spoke in a deep, stern voice:

— “You’re awake, Bristy? How are you feeling now?”

Hearing Shrabon’s voice, Niel let go of her hand as well.

After all, it was now proven that Bristy was legally Shrabon’s wife.

Niel stood up and greeted Shrabon:

— “How are you, Mr. Shrabon? And how did Neela lose consciousness? When I found out you brought her to the hospital, we came right away. What happened to my Neela?”

Though irritated, Shrabon kept his temper in check and replied:

— “She’s not your Neela, Niel Ahmed. She’s my Bristy.”

With that, he walked past Niel and sat beside Bristy.

He gently stroked her hair and asked softly:

— “How are you feeling now, Bristy? What happened on the balcony?”

Uncomfortable, Bristy replied:

— “I don’t know… My head started hurting terribly, and then everything went black. I don’t remember anything after that.”

Sensing her discomfort, Shrabon stood up and turned to Niel’s parents:

— “How are you, Uncle, Aunty?”

— “We’re well, son. But our hearts were aching for Neela, so we went to your house. When we didn’t find you there, we came straight here.”

— “That was the right decision, Aunty. Now please come home with us. I’ll get Bristy’s discharge papers.”

Just then, Bristy spoke up:

— “Excuse me…”

Shrabon turned around.

— “Yes, Bristy? What is it?”

— “Actually… I want to go to Aunty’s house. I don’t want to go back with you. Please, let me go there for a while.”

Hearing that, Shrabon’s temper flared again.

But before he could say anything, Niel’s mother interjected:

— “Yes, Shrabon dear. We want to take Neela back with us, just for a few days. Bring her back later if you must. You know, you’re like a son to me too. Please don’t say no. The house feels empty without her.”

Shrabon thought for a moment, then replied:

— “Alright, Aunty. Since Bristy wants to go, she can. But not today—tomorrow. I’ll bring her myself.”

Without waiting for anyone to respond, he grabbed Niel’s hand and walked him out of the cabin.

Outside the cabin, Shrabon turned to Niel and said:

— “Look, Niel… I’m truly grateful to you and your family. You took care of my Bristy like your own daughter while I was unwell. But remember this—Bristy is my wife. The farther you stay from her, the better it will be for you.

I’m a good man when things are good,

But when I’m bad—

I’m worse than you can imagine.

So... you get the idea.”

He patted Niel’s back twice with a smirk and walked away with his signature devilish grin—

Leaving Niel standing there, staring helplessly in silence.
