(Dark Romance - Part 2)
"Wait, Mr. Srabon. You can't take Nila with you like this without any proof. Moreover, Nila has forgotten everything from her past. She doesn’t recognize you anymore. Nila loves me, and I love Nila. You can't take her away from here like this."
Hearing Nila’s words, Srabon smirked and said,
"Who is going to stop me from taking Borshi with me? You, Nila Ahmed?"
"Yes, I will stop you. Because I love Nila, and she loves me. Today is our wedding. You can't suddenly come here and claim to be Nila's husband without any proof. I will not accept that, no matter what."
Hearing Nila’s words, Srabon’s anger seemed to reach its peak. Before he could say anything, Nila’s father intervened and said,
"Please, Mr. Srabon Chowdhury, don’t take offense. Nila is a good boy, so he is saying all this without kAnowing you properly. You can take Nila with you, we don’t need proof."
Nila, surprised by his father's words, said,
"Father, what are you saying? You can’t just hand over Nila to him without any proof. I won’t accept it, no one else might, but I won’t."
Hearing this, Nila’s father took him aside and said softly,
"Nila, do you know who Srabon Chowdhury is? There’s no one in Dhaka who doesn’t know him. He is not just the best businessman; he is also the don of Dhaka. For the last year, no one has heard from him, everyone thought he was dead. We don’t know what happened to him, but now that he has returned, he must be far more dangerous than before. If you try to stop him, he won’t think twice before killing you."
Nila responded,
"Does that mean I should be afraid of him and let him take my love away without any proof? If necessary, I’ll go to the police, but I won’t let him take Nila."
Before Nila’s father could say anything, Srabon spoke up,
"Nila Ahmed, you still don’t know anything about me. That’s why you’re saying all this. The police can do nothing to me, Srabon Chowdhury. But don’t worry, I won’t harm any of you. Because you have kept my Borshi safe all this time. So here’s your proof." (He handed over some papers and pictures).
Nila opened the papers one by one and looked at them. The papers were Borshi and Srabon’s marriage certificate. The pictures showed Srabon and Borshi exchanging rings, sitting together face to face.
After seeing the pictures, Nila stared at Srabon in shock and said,
"I accept that Nila is indeed your wife, but then where were you for the past year, Mr. Srabon? Didn’t you think to check on Nila even once? When we were searching for her loved ones everywhere, we couldn’t find you. Where were you?"
Srabon replied,
"Because of a betrayal from someone very close to me, I was on life support for a long time, Nila. Otherwise, I would have taken my Borshi away from here long ago."
Nila, shocked, said,
"But who would have the courage to betray someone like you, Mr. Srabon?"
Srabon replied,
"There is someone, someone very close."
Without saying anything more, Srabon quickly took Borshi in his arms and left the room. As soon as Srabon left, a single tear fell from Nila’s eye. Nila truly loved his Nila.
One Year Ago...
Late at night, Nila and his family were returning home from a party in their car, laughing and chatting. Nila was driving. Suddenly, a girl ran in front of their car. Before Nila could brake, the car hit the girl. She was thrown away from the car, crashing into a stone and injuring her head. Without wasting any time, Nila stopped the car and rushed to the girl. Nila’s father said,
"Nila, quickly, let’s leave, or the police will get involved if anyone sees us."
But Nila’s mother said,
"No, Nila, we can’t leave this girl to die. Nila, check if she’s alive, and take her to the hospital immediately."
Hearing his mother, Nila picked the girl up in his arms. Her face was covered in blood, and her features were unrecognizable. Nila rushed her to the hospital. The doctor immediately admitted her to the ICU. After a small operation, the doctor informed Nila’s family that the girl had lost all her memories due to the head injury. She couldn’t recognize anyone, not even her own name.
Seeing the girl’s condition, Nila’s family made many attempts to find her relatives, but they were unsuccessful. Nila’s mother, who only had one son and always wished for a daughter, decided to take the girl into their home. Nila’s father initially refused but later agreed due to Nila’s mother’s persistence.
The girl’s name was changed to Nila, and Nila’s mother treated her like her own daughter. At first, Nila felt jealous and angry toward Nila, but slowly, he fell in love with her. One day, Nila confessed to his mother that if he were to marry, it would be Nila.
Nila’s mother was thrilled to hear this, but Nila’s father initially disagreed. However, he eventually gave in to his wife’s insistence and agreed to make Nila his daughter-in-law.
When Nila asked Nila, she agreed to the marriage. A wedding was planned for Nila and Nila.
Afterward...
Srabon took Borshi to his home and laid her on the bed in his room. Borshi was dressed as a bride. She looked so beautiful in her bridal attire. Srabon gazed at her, as if seeing her after many years.
When Srabon remembered that this bridal dress wasn’t for him, but for another man, anger surged in him. He angrily pulled all the jewelry off Borshi’s body and threw them aside. He grabbed the wedding saree and tried to pull it off, but then, deep in thought, he stopped. Lighting a cigarette, Srabon went to the balcony and drowned in his memories.
When Borshi stabbed Srabon and left, darkness fell, and Srabon collapsed on the floor. His men rushed in, saw his bleeding condition, and took him to the hospital. After a long 4-hour surgery, Srabon was placed on life support.
The next ten months passed in this state. His men took care of him during this time. After ten months, when Srabon regained consciousness and fully recovered, he started searching for Borshi. After 45 days, he finally found her and learned about her marriage. Borshi had changed her name to Nila.
Srabon then visited Nila’s family, and the events that followed are already known to everyone.
After his recovery, Srabon’s only companion became cigarettes. A man who never even touched a cigarette now smoked countless cigarettes every day. Sometimes, he even drank alcohol. The root cause of all this was Borshi’s betrayal.
