Telling My Roommate I Have a Crush on Her

Carrie: "Hello, so what's up? What's happening? Anything new that you have to tell us?"

Kelly: "Well, I want to tell my roommate Ashley that I like her, like really like her."

Carrie: "You know, I got the feeling that the two of you like each other because of your skateboard scenes, where you two are together. What I see of your relationship shows that there is a closer bond than just a friendship. She's always looking at you and giggling, and you can tell that she's charmed. My concern was that you're roommates, and there's this outside noise saying you shouldn't do this because it's stupid. That definitely plays with me a little bit."

Kelly: "Yeah, it's unfair to both of us. It's not fair to Ashley either."

Carrie: "If you like her enough to pursue her, you should let her know. Go for it."

Kelly: "I asked Ashley if she wanted to hang out today, so we'll see if I go for it."

Ashley: "Where are we going? You don't know where we're going? We do this all the time; we're getting veggie bahn mi's and going to the pier. Yay! I'm so excited."

Kelly: "One of Ashley and my favorite things to do together is to get veggie bahn mi's and go to the pier."

Ashley: "There are little kids... Kelly, you want one?"

Kelly: "Whoa, whoa, slow down there, slow down now. I did not plan this. Are you trying to tell me something? This is so weird."

Ashley: "My hand is so cold."

Kelly: "You have gloves literally in your pocket."

Ashley: "I'm fine digging back."

Kelly: "Oh my god, you are so heavy."

Ashley: "Alright, to our usual spot. This is the greatest thing on earth, the veggie bahn mi's. Cheers!"

Kelly: "I thought I'd bring you out here to tell you something."

Kelly: "I really wanted to tell Ashley how I felt here, but I was thrown off by the birds."

Ashley: "Wow, look at the hearts. Do you ever look at me in the house and think, 'Oh wow, there's Kelly'?"

Ashley: "Sure, I do."

Kelly: "This is my mating call."

Ashley: "That's very good, yeah. You know we're on a date right now, right?"

Kelly: "Yes."

Ashley: "Thank you, very much."

Kelly: "I'm cute and clever."

Ashley: "I am super simp."

Kelly: "I cannot believe you just got off the chair to say that."

Kelly: "Would you rather have a parrot on this shoulder or this shoulder?"

Ashley: "That one."

Kelly: "This fits pretty well."

Kelly: "I thought now might be a good time to tell her, but I wasn't sure how I was feeling. I was honestly pretty nervous but decided to play it off."

Ashley: "Wow, you are nervous. I'm taking your pulse; you are nervous. You're cute, Kelly."

Kelly: "Do you want to see a magic trick?"

Ashley: "Oh my god, look how sad she looks."

Kelly: "Oh, you're so pretty."

Ashley: "Oh, thanks, Kelly. Oh my god, I haven't sledded in so long. This is a steep hill, man. Everyone is so intimidated by our sled because we have the best one."

Kelly: "Push, push."

Ashley: "Okay, cool. Thank you. So you're saying our sled's not good enough?"

Kelly: "Dude, we're going to be going so fast."

Kelly: "It's been on my mind, and yeah... No, no, never mind. I'm going down."

Ashley: "Yes, I'll go down. I'm going down."

Kelly: "Hey, you're doing good."

Kelly: "That looks so painful, though. Damn, I really slipped instead of telling Ashley. I'm really getting more nervous since I didn't tell her already. I don't know why I'm scared."

Kelly: "Did you mess up my eyelashes?"

Ashley: "Oh my god, it's very... you know what, I'll make it up to you today. Yeah, I'll make it up to you right now."

Kelly: "I want to tell everyone how much I like this girl, and that I'm sorry."

Ashley: "Thanks, all great."

Kelly: "She hasn't said anything; she's nervous."

Kelly: "Last one up there is stinky."

Ashley: "Remember the first time we hung out in New York City? Just like this, we literally laid down together."

Kelly: "Yes, I do."

Ashley: "In Central Park. Good times."

Kelly: "I don't think we talked at all. I think we were tired, and we laid on the ground. And then you, you were playing with my hair."

Ashley: "I was like, huh? I do remember that. Why is she playing with my hair so much?"

Kelly: "Sometimes I'm like, man, if we weren't roommates... I don't know, the roommate situation makes everything so much more intense."

Ashley: "Yeah, I agree. I wonder if we never moved in together, what our lives would be like."

Kelly: "I'd be weird."

Ashley: "That would be weird. I'm glad I met you."

Kelly: "I'm glad I met you too."

Ashley: "You're not that bad. Pretend to help me get up."

Kelly: "I cannot believe you did that. Help, help up. I got you, I got you. Oh, I'm sorry. You're lucky I put up with you."

Ashley: "Did you mean what you said on the tram?"

Kelly: "What?"

Ashley: "Did you mean what you said on the tram?"

Kelly: "Um..."

Kelly: "Wow, I really felt like this was the perfect moment to tell Ashley, and I blew it. The park we were at, the laughs we were sharing, she seemed so happy, but I couldn't pull the trigger."

Kelly: "Alright, I need you to close your eyes."

Ashley: "To close my eyes? For how long?"

Kelly: "Twenty minutes, no left. I have to go pee."

Ashley: "Yes, I'll take you right to the pier."

Kelly: "Really?"

Ashley: "Surprise, surprise. Stay there."

Ashley: "No, Kelly, are you going to leave me? Are you being serious?"

Kelly: "Can I take off my shoes?"

Ashley: "No, no, it's okay. Sit in that chair."

Kelly: "Now you may unblindfold yourself."

Ashley: "Hi, everybody!"

Ashley: "Hi, can I take your order, please?"

Kelly: "I'll take a tap water. This is so romantic, look at the view."

Ashley: "It actually is an amazing view. Look at our ambiance, the view, and then also the litter box, that's fine."

Kelly: "Your hands are so warm."

Ashley: "Really? Yours are freezing. Well, that's why they're clammy and shaking."

Kelly: "Those are beautiful."

Kelly: "And as a special gift, we've given you a little game to play. First card: Do you think I'm cute? What is the conspiracy theory you think is real?"

Ashley: "Dinosaurs."

Kelly: "I knew you were going to say that. What are the most difficult words for you to say out loud?"

Kelly: "I've never felt this way before. I don't think of any other girl; it's so weird, it's so strange. The feeling I get, I get butterflies. I get excited every time I see her."

Kelly: "You remember the first time we were in New York together?"

Ashley: "Yes, I do."

Kelly: "Right here, we stayed right here at the Hyatt. We did, and I got us the rooftop to ourselves."

Ashley: "Yeah, kind of."

Kelly: "What do you mean?"

Ashley: "No, I got it tonight."

Kelly: "Oh, tonight?"

Ashley: "I didn't spend that day."

Kelly: "No way, that's actually so sweet, Kelly."

Kelly: "Remember when we came here and we just barely knew each other?"

Ashley: "I had no idea who you were at all."

Kelly: "Well, let's go in."

Kelly: "She really feels like one in a million, unlike anyone I've met before. She has the most contagious laugh, the most amazing smile, and this just leaves me with one last question to answer: Do you guys think I should tell her? Do you guys think I should pursue her? Life is too short not to take chances because you must in order to progress."

Kelly: "We hopped up and looked over here, like, 'Oh, imagine living in New York.' That's who we were."

Ashley: "Yeah, absolutely, like imagine living here."

Kelly: "Tell me again, tell me again what we did here."

Ashley: "I think we walked to Times Square. We got a Polaroid picture of us from a dude. That's like our first picture together."

Kelly: "I love that picture."

Ashley: "That's where it all started."

Ashley: "Go, here we go."

Kelly: "Oh, there's something I wanted to tell you. You know, all this time, ever since I met you, ever since we stayed at this hotel... You're like no person I've ever met, and you're like my best friend. And I really have feelings for you, and I like you."

Ashley: "I like you too. That's so sweet."
