ONE LONELY NIGHT
I sat there in the loudest noise of silence, on a cold night alone. The city was alive with the sounds of cars honking and people talking, but I felt completely isolated from it all. I was wrapped in my thoughts, lost in a sea of memories and regrets.

Valentines Day Is Over
Introduction This is just a general thing about how Valentine’s Day fifty years ago was so much creepier than the current corporate “romance” fest that it has become today. I am not been curmudgeonly about this but if you go into a card shop there are cards for loads of made-up occasions, one for every family member and lots more as well as genuine occasions like birthdays, religious occasions and such. Cards are nice to receive but the plethora we have now is ridiculous and often I just get a blank card for an occasion, although someone was recently shocked that I actually bought, wrote and hand-delivered a card to a close friend.

Sorry, I'm Not Always As Good As I Should Be
I have a confession to make, folks. I am not as good as I want to be at this Vocal stuff. Let me explain. I've not been feeling very well recently. Just a stupid cold sorta virus thing that's been invading my body. I will survive, as Gloria Gaynor suggested. I had a random argument with myself about whether it was Gloria G or Donna Summer, but yes, it was Gloria G. My voice is all broken and somewhere between whiny and cracked and croaky. If it wasn't for the involuntary coughing, I'm sure I could give my best sinister old Mafiosa guy impression. Pauly Two Socks. Or something.
