LOVE YOURSELF
Living a life where you have to think of your actions before doing it or thinking about words before speaking makes you a person living a life made up by others. Such individuals have low self-esteem and become very vulnerable by displeasing others. In other words, these people are described as "people pleasers" one who thinks about others before themselves.

Literally Challenged. Content Warning.
Introduction Ten of my recent Vocal Stories have been Vocal or Non-Vocal Challenge related. I see Challenges as great for prompts and that is it, but I am looking at the current ones and the only one of the five that may get more response from me is the Inverse poem and I already have three pieces in there.

Three’s a Crowd
Once upon a time there lived three college roommates, each struggling to tread their individual hero’s journeys. Two were classic beauties, the fairest of them all. The third, a redhead, floundered, uncertain where and how she fit in the world. I was that third roomie.

Thieves of My Sanity . Content Warning.
In the wake of a windy storm, I gave birth to my second son. The windows of the labour ward rattled against strong gales, letting slithers of cold air breeze through, but despite this, there was stillness and calm inside. I felt like I had completed what I was set out to do, achieved my purpose as a mother of two wonderful boys. Who knew something so tiny and so small could take such a big space in my heart?

Nobody cares, work harder
The first time I came across this quote was on the channel of Dax, who is a very talented artist to say the least. This statement encapsulates a lot, and there is just so much to unpack from a simple statement like this one. It might seem quite easy to read and understand, but there is just so much hidden behind these few words, and it really takes for you to be at a specific point in life and for you to have gone through some experiences in order to understand the full extent of such a simple statement.

Lie To Me.. Top Story - January 2024. Content Warning.
Ok. I have only ever recounted this story one other time. Whenever asked about this Era of my life from my family and my friends I always keep the details to myself and just stick to the Who/What/When/Why & Where. With this in mind please understand that I will be changing names, dates, and for the sake of keeping this story to a readable length certain event(s) will be shortened or bulleted. I will do my best to answer any questions that may arise. Thank you for reading about the worst experience of my life.

My 2024 Game Plan on Vocal: From Sporadic Scribbler to Consistent Creator
As the clock struck midnight this New Year’s Eve, a thought struck me: despite our diverse backgrounds, traditions, and stories, we are all bound by a universal Truth: the passage of time. Around the world, New Year's celebrations reflect this shared experience, each with its own unique flavor. In the US, ringing in the new year is all about the glittering ball drop and that countdown to a hopeful kiss. Meanwhile, in Spain, you'll find folks with 12 grapes at hand, hoping for 12 months of luck in the year ahead. These traditions, while unique, point toward the new year as one of opportunity, wherever you are in the world.

My life starting... now. Wait, no. Now. Actually...
I do this thing every year where I buy journals and calendars and planners-- yes, all plural-- with jumbo aspirations to fill them up. I start plotting and designing ways for me to really change my life this time. Never mind how the past few months went and how much I still have left on my previous plates, I prefer to focus on the days ahead.

Giving up so easily
During a meeting recently, due to some differences in opinion and perception, an influential acquaintance decided to quit his position of responsibility because he couldn’t get along with others and couldn’t seem to get his point across. Despite multiple trials, the crowd just couldn’t understand his perception of things and even though they didn’t intend to fire him, he decided to resign to avoid unnecessary conflicts with everybody else. This happened to the surprise of everybody, especially considering the fact that he was so influential and his opinion was never underestimated.

Vocal Made Me a Poet. Runner-Up in #200 Challenge.
I joined Vocal in desperation. It had been nearly a decade since I had written anything but marketing copy, and I had just baffled myself by first turning down a CMO position at another company, then giving an agonizing three month's notice to my boss, anyway. I couldn't stay miserable in my career anymore, and I ached to create something, anything meaningful to me.
