The Great White Way Off Base
Being a certified Theater instructor and a 40 year veteran of the entertainment industry, including owning an entertainment company that specialized in dinner theater, I thought that I had a pretty good handle on most things theater and a strong knowledge of the entertainment business. I know my way around movies, both classic and current and I have a pretty good, I thought, knowledge of theater. I came to realize, in the most embarrassing way, that that was not necessarily the case. The term “pride goeth before a fall” is more painful when it happens in front of family.

I got scammed
I tend to be a bit of a ditz so it really does not surprise me that something like this happened. I do find it a bit embarrassing though. It had all started with a call that in 48 hours a company called 'Vtech' was going to take $400 off my card. Logically I should have realized there was something wrong with that and that I have never done monthly bills over $100, but my first thought was. all the money that would come off my card the next day. So I called the number back to unsubscribe.

Fashion Faux Pas
There’s always that one person around who owns their actions, mistakes, failures, and successes gracefully. They never seem to blush, and always have their head held high. Sometimes they pass things off with a shrug, maybe a joke, or best yet – they aren’t even aware of what had happened.

Pissing my Way to the Top
I've always been an overly anxious person. So much so that until relatively recently, I haven't been able to ask for any sort of help, or basic needs questions if I felt that I would be a burden in doing so. Or if it were awkward. Or I just... didn't know how to handle the situation.

Sick Moves In The DJ Booth
The night had started out like any other with my whirlwind of a friend, Jane. Two single girls in the city, headed out to drink, dance, and find their next disastrous date. The setting was as clichéd as clubs come: overpriced drinks, overdressed girls, and underwhelming men. That as never a problem for our dynamic duo, though, as a few shots in everything would soon take on a gleaming newness that was nowhere to be found when sober.

How a Speech About Wayne’s World 2 Led to Life Enlightenments
Do you remember the first time you ever had to speak publicly? Do you remember the fear? Do you remember the most awkward moment of your high school experience? That moment in time where you wish the floor could swallow you whole and remove any existence that you were there.

The Perfect date
Will I be single for the rest of my life?! I said over dramatically as I flopped down on my queen sized mattress with plush sheets the color of lilac. Just as I was giving up on finding “true love” I received a notification on my iPhone 7. I read the notification, “It’s from tinder!” I said excitedly. As opened the app to see that I had been liked by a handsome man named Harley. “Huh coincidence that his name is also the name I would name my son if I ever have one.” “I’ll message him and just say hi.”

What You Wear At Work Matters
We all know working at a hotel can be very exciting. What's not to love? I work in a beautiful resort that isn't a casino. Not only that, but it's a timeshare! So that means I get to know so many different types of families, cultures, and organizations. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? One of the things people who work at a hotel don't tell you, is that no day is the same. Everyday is different because you see different people, have different conversations, and even the problems are jam packed of varieties.
