The Thoughts and Times of Scott A. Vancil

Saturday, May 7th 2022
Shelby and I sleep in a lot. We wake up, and I still feel like death.
She makes me a Bones Coffee Co. Mustachio Coffee in my Z's Divine Espresso Mug. She also makes us both mimosas, not freshly squeezed this time but still so good.
I drink my coffee and mimosa and then make brunch.
I listen to Pink Floyd's, 'Wish You Were Here.'
I toast an English Muffin in our new, four-slotted toaster, and spread on some vegan butter. I plop some spinach down on that thing; then I place a juicy tomato slice and then a warmed, Oven-Roasted Tofurkey slice. I slide on some vegan Follow-Your-Heart Smoked Gouda Cheese. Then I sizzle up some smoked Tempeh Bacon and put them on top. I toast a Just Egg fold and mount it on top of the bacon. Topped with salt, black pepper, and Red Cayenne Pepper. Then I load it up with a fuckton of hot sauce. And Voila. A Vegan sandwich so veganly.
I feast. While I feast I watch a new episode of The Whiskey Vault on YouTube.
I do the dishes while listening to Pink Floyd's, 'Animals.'
I shower with Bourbon, 2-n-1, Head and Shoulders, Shampoo/Conditioner. I use a bar of soap called Man Bar that smells like Taco Bell's meat seasoning. Then I lather myself with Duke Cannon Buffalo Trace Bourbon Soap and rinse. I then smother myself with body wash: Duke Canon THICK Bourbon Bodywash. After rinsing I rinse my hair. Then I use my Duke Cannon Buffalo Trace Bourbon Plant-Based Beard Wash. I rinse. I dry and comb my red beard with its elegant white streaks.
I put on Axe Apollo Fresh Stick, because they were out of Phoenix.
I heat filtered, water to 170 Degrees Fahrenheit in my black, Fellow EKG Gooseneck Kettle and steep two teaspoons of Sencha Fancy Green Tea for two minutes in my Mike Wazowski mug. I purchased the tea at The Tea Table online. I highly recommend them.
Shelby and I watch A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas on Netflix. I forgot how much I love the third one. A great end to the trilogy. I actually think I like it better than the first. I don't like the second one very much.
I steep another mug for five minutes this time.
We finish the movie, and I check my mail.
I brew Bones Coffee Co. Mustachio into my Powell's Bookstore mug and sip it while I listen to Pink Floyd's, 'Animals,' and then, 'The Wall.'
Shelby and I go to SAGE Vegan Bistro in Echo Park. I get the Bowl of Soul and an order of cauliflower wings.
Then we go to see Phil Wang do stand-up at The Hayworth. It's a very small venue and they don't really have a lot to drink.
We get home at about 11 and watch an episode of Letterkenny.
Shelby watches a movie.

I go to bed.
Shelby drops my computer on the ground and I wake up and freak out. I'm so mad. This is the second time she's been high and dropped a computer on the floor.
And that's it.
That's my day.
