It was always about the littlest things

It is about finding the joy and love in the littlest of everyday things

You know those moments that light you up like a forestfire, the circumstances, people, entities, stories, words or notions that trigger something in you. That makes you act differently, to approach your life differently, to stride a different walk or embrace a new mindset. These are often quite moments that we think are insignificant, but are in reality monumental transgressions of metamorphosis, where everything changes, but also nothing changes.

Life is often built upon these moments that guide us towards the enveloping magnificence of growth, where we love our worst versions filled with imperfections, lost chances, regrets and speak with softness yet work towards our goals. It is like a canon event that hits us subtly yet massively in its silent entirety, where we do not know what passed by us, yet we know we are turning into the best versions of ourselves.

I think this is what our existence is about: it is about erring and forgiving, it is about regretting and then loving ourselves irrespective of our pitfalls, of learning and unlearning, of growing and of letting go. Of sprinkling through the loving facets of the eyes that make us want to achieve, embrace, and do more. It is like writing a letter to your ex best friend, where our mistakes are the ex bestfriends we once thought were the rightful way to lead life, to accept the bare minimum, to be okay with narcissism, to receive little and yet give more, to love and not expect and to water down ourselves for them.

But as we break up with the mistakes of our lives, we realise that the goodness and the magic that existed were never in them; they were in us. In the beauty of our laugh, in the light that our hearts carry, so the only thing we can do for our ex is let them go. To not wish bad upon them, to not wish good upon them, to not even think about them. To love ourselves so loudly and radically that the lack of love and care of others does not bother us at all.

For it is the most silent moments that we expect to pass by in the trances of obsessing over our outcomes that we live through the beauty of breakthroughs. Of realisng how far we have come and how much we have achieved, of how little we need to prove ourselves to anyone else but ourselves, of how much are growing into the persons we are always meant to grow into and how beautiful our existence can pan out to be if we just learn to love ourselves, do the things we need to do and detach ourselves from the outcome and opinions of others.

The truth to be told, the only one who will have a valid and correct opinion of our life is going to be us and only us.

So live today, love today, appreciate yourself today, fall in love today, romanticise life today, let go of other people’s opinions today, and love! -

I too found myself blazing through life with mirth and a rose tainted stance,

Only to realise it is not the glorious successes but the setbacks that make our wisdom learn its wistful dance.

To be the best in the race or not to be the one who chases external solace, in the confounded conundrums of confusion, my narrative found itself trapped

My grief is tremendous yet the love I have for my craft is bigger, the one that fuelled me when no one clapped.

--

The memory of being lost in the world of my syllables is the one that I often revisit,

For in every ounce of my shed morsel of self, it is the one that with me sits,

Every glass ceiling I break, I look at the moon that beckons to be the pinnacle I want to chase,

--

But every time I sit down to write a letter, it is the ocean of imperfections that make me- Me

Is the one that I want to embrace!

I hope this reminds you to find yourself through the flaws that hold your worth true,

And I hope this is the kind of love you experience through every season of your life because that's what makes you, YOU!

--

I hope you love yourself in your authentic light so loud that

The gallant echoes of other people’s opinions pass through an oblivious grasp of thin air,

And I hope you shine so bright in your glory that everyone else becomes comfortable loving themselves without a care
