I INVITED THEM IN

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters. For my writing I wanted to share a some of my story that will be in my book that soon will be released. But just to give you an idea of what the book is about I’ll explain. I share a powerful testimony on how I was delivered and saved out of some very dark places of drug addiction. I was born and raised in church, father is a Pastor but growing up in the church and in my neighborhood wasn’t always great. I talk about some reacurring indicents that happened to me as a child which led me to low self esteem and later years heavy drug use of being addicted to Crystal meth. Meth almost destroyed my life from being a heavy user. Snorting it, shooting it up and smoking it. I tried for years to stay clean but something would trigger me and I’d go back. The high was great but what it was doing to my body, life and my family was not good at all.

I would be doing so good, life going pretty okay, accomplishing so much and then relapse. Oh and the disappointment you feel from relapsing is awful. Just when I almost gave up on myself I soon realized that what I was doing was hurting not only myself but my family as well. No drug addict wishes to hurt their family intentionally but whether we realize it or not we do. The disappointment, pain and sorrow from going back to that drug each time was very difficult to deal with and process because in my heart I really wanted to be drug free but it was very hard for me. That demon of addiction latched on to me and would not let me go no matter how hard I tried.

I thought about rehab and then it was a distance memory , I just didn’t think it was for me and that’s even though i considered going. I wanted to talk to someone who would understand and sometimes it is not easy to express yourself to the world because people are so judgmental and unfortunately majority of that judgment comes from people who you may love.  I honestly believe that we are overcome by the words of our Testimony and that anything that we go through is not for us, it is to help someone else overcome.  We may not understand why we go through some of the most harsh and crucial test and trials in life but that is just who he is, and he has full control and power to do so.  

But the great thing is I also share how I overcame of all of it. This is my passion because I want to help as many as I can overcome by sharing my story. Your not alone and you are loved by me your brother.

There are so many people who are currently experiencing the same struggles that I have with no way out and believe it or not many are afraid to talk about it because they may think that people will call or think they are crazy, judge them or just look at them as a nobody, but I am here to tell you that you are not.  It is my prayer that this book which contains the testimony of my life and what I have had to go through helps someone be delivered and set free. Dont ever be afraid to admit that you need some help.

I encourage all of you to find someone that you trust who will not judge you, look at you at a nobody because you are somebody. Start loving yourself and encouraging yourself and speak it until you start believe it that you can be free from drug addictions.
