"From QNet Member to Critic: Why I Changed My Mind About MLMs"
My Personal experience in direct selling business
By The KrishnaversePublished 3 years ago • 3 min read

I started my first direct selling business in Qnet marketing & quit after 2 years of journey.
QNet is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that has faced controversy and allegations of being a pyramid scheme. These are the reasons why I have chosen to quit QNet.
- Financial Loss: Many people have lost money by investing in QNet's products and business model. They may have been promised large returns on their investments, but in reality, it was difficult to earn significant profits from MLM.
- False Promises: Qnet has been accused of making false promises to its members about the earning potential and benefits of their products. This can lead to disappointment and disillusionment with the company.
- Ethical Concerns: I faced ethical concerns about the MLM model and the way QNet operates. There have been accusations of misleading marketing tactics, pressure to recruit new members, and a lack of transparency about the business model.
- Legal Issues: QNet has faced legal challenges in several countries, including accusations of being a pyramid scheme. This was also a concern for me who want to ensure they are operating within the law.
- Negative Reputation: The controversies and negative publicity surrounding QNet can also be a reason for me to quit the company.
- Pressure to Recruit: MLMs rely on recruitment to expand their networks and generate revenue. This lead to pressure on members like me to constantly recruit new people, even if we may not be interested or suited for the business. This pressure can strain personal relationships and create a sense of obligation.
- False Sense of Community: MLMs often promote a sense of community and camaraderie among members, but this can be misleading. Members may feel pressured to maintain a positive attitude and present a certain image to their peers, leading to a lack of authenticity and genuine connection.
- Difficulty in Selling Products: While MLMs like QNet often tout their products as unique or high-quality, they can be difficult to sell. I find that the market is saturated or that customers are not interested in the products, leaving them with unsold inventory and lost money.
- Lack of Control: In QNet, we members are often dependent on the company for their income and success. This can lead to a lack of control over one's own business, as the company can change policies or products at any time, leaving members at a disadvantage.
- Income Disparities: MLMs often promise the potential for unlimited income, but the reality is that only a small percentage of members make significant amounts of money. The vast majority of members earn very little or even lose money, while the top earners reap the benefits.
- Lack of support from the company: QNet has been criticized for not providing adequate support to its members, particularly when it comes to product training and marketing materials. This can leave members feeling unsupported and unprepared to sell the products or recruit new members.
- Emotional manipulation: QNet have been accused of using emotional manipulation tactics to recruit and retain members. This can include making members feel like they are part of a community or family, or appealing to their desire for financial freedom and success.
- Negative impact on personal finances: After joined QNet, I have found that it has a negative impact on their personal finances. This was due to the high cost of joining the company, the pressure to make regular purchases in order to remain an active member, or the difficulty in earning commissions.
It's important to note that these reasons are not exclusive to QNet, and many MLM companies face similar criticisms.
Ultimately, individuals need to weigh the potential benefits and risks before deciding whether to join or continue with an MLM.
