Life has its own scriptures and screenplays, of which we are a little part. We always believe that we write our own story. Are we?

I don't know how far my story will take me, but I am still trying to write instead of simply accepting that I am not the author of my life—it is the almighty. But the audacity in me is not accepting it and wants to do everything possible to make a screenplay of my own and play the role of a writer. Aren't I doing it right? What do you say?

Well, let's introduce this audacious rebel writer to you.

Introduction

I am a poet. My name is Archana Das. I always knew from school that I would contribute to the world of literature and writing. My journey of knowing my true passion for writing began in 2009 while I was studying in 9th grade.

Today is the 7th of October, 2024. I finally collected my courage to write and share my story in public. You must be thinking that if you had found your passion for writing early, then why did executing it take me so much time? Allow me to give a brief about me. Shall I?

My Story in School

Every person knows himself and herself. But most of the time, we shield our true selves and act according to the world, and slowly we become chameleons, color-changing animals. This is the same case that happens with me too, like you all. Most of my time in school, I remain silent. I did have some school friends, but best friends... I did not have any.

My best friend was my mind, emotions, and observations at school.

These three are my best friends till now.

They are the reason I am writing this "About Me Stories" and making my script of life open to the world.

My Story in College

Again, as I was busy in school, I was busy in college too, studying. But one thing changed. I was exploring different things. And in this process, I enjoyed roaming around my city, Delhi, in India, and traveling to all the tourist destinations. After a year, I began thinking of making a career in something, as I was not born with a silver spoon.

I joined a courier company and was earning 6k a month while pursuing my studies. I worked for one year. My mother approached me to learn some skills as well.

She enrolled me in tailoring. I did that for one year. After learning how to make garments such as shirts, shorts, kurtas, and suit-salwar, I thought I would make it a career by opening a tailoring shop. I even tried designing—I have a beautiful frock I made as a fashion designer. After some time, I quit.

My college studies are done too.

My Story as a Job Hunter (Professional)

It was 2017. Before that, I worked many jobs, but nothing satisfied me. One fine day, I questioned myself: Will I always be like this, unsatisfied?

My soul answered, "No." It whispered, "Writing is satisfaction."

I heard my soul. I joined a company as an intern writer for three months.

Throughout this period, I learned a lot, including office politics. After three months, my soul screamed to quit. I did.

In 2017, I joined a digital marketing company, a real company for a writer. I worked for almost one year and learned a lot. And till today, I am working as a professional writer.

My Story As A Passionate Writer

My soul now wants me to write and serve people with my actual writing (poetry, storytelling, and articles on platforms like Medium and my blog, Vedic Story). I don't know how far I will go, but I am trying to script my story in my own words.
