Jeff, the father of that monstrosity, yelled as he moved closer, his eyes flaming with fury. Fearing that Anna wouldn't respond to him, Anna only moaned and remained silent. Jeff roared again, banging his fists against the wall. Tears flowed down her cheeks.

Anna's eyes widened as she saw her husband go, returning her focus to the adorable infant boy soundly dozing. The medical staff didn't have an explanation for Anna; they only suggested some tests, like a DNA test, with which they would be able to find the much-needed answers.

Despite her compassion for him, In Her Arms, she couldn't understand how the baby turned out to be black when she and Jeff were white. Five days later, Anna was released from the hospital. Jeff had not contacted her during her hospital stay, and Anna was quite disappointed in Jeff for this.

She understood his anger, too; if she had been in his position, she would have been upset as well, but leaving her at the hospital meant that he had completely lost faith in her. Even if he had some reservations about the child's paternity, a DNA test could prove it, which was still preferable to having no faith at all.

When she finally arrived home, she ran into Jeff, who gave her a cold, bloodshot stare and their eyes locked without saying anything. A few minutes later, Anna sighed and went into their room.

Jeff looked up in alarm when Anna entered the guest room, asking, "What do you want?" She yelled, furious that she had the audacity to enter his room after feeding her infant and making sure he was sound sleeping. After keeping quiet until they were close enough, Anna started to remind them of their past and their promises to one another.

She questioned him about why he would harbour such doubts and leave her at the hospital, wondering why he would believe that she would ever be disloyal to their relationship. She then vowed that she had never entertained the idea of cheating on him, let alone actually doing so.

She begged and spoke, her tears streaming down her cheeks, and even suggested they get a DNA test if he was still unsure. When it seemed she was finished, Jeff laughed sarcastically and said he would not waste his money on a test, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that she had cheated on him with a black man.

He then told her to leave with her bastard and go meet her lover, or he would make the house unbearable for her and the child. He then pushed her from the room and gave her the order to pack her things and leave, or he would force her to do so later.

He closed the door behind her. After getting tired of pleading and arguing with a rock, Anna decided to give Jeff some space. She understood that Jeff's anger was bad and didn't want to be a victim of it. Probably he needed more time to think things through.

She decided to give him that. Anna then called her sister and explained everything. Anna sat by the door and wept bitterly. She continued to bang on the door begging Jeff to believe her. The only time he responded was to tell her to leave his place and start packing her things.

After that, she gave her sister a call and told her everything. That evening, her sister drove to Anna's apartment to assist her with packing a few items and some of the babies. When Anna got in the car with her infant, she turned to look behind her in the hopes that Jeff would appear, but of course, nobody did.

After several days, Anna woke up to find that all the money in the joint account she and Jeff had cleared. She was shocked, her heart raced, and tears streamed down her face as she continued to check the balance. This time, she couldn't believe what she was seeing, so she damned the consequences and Anna decided to confront Jeff because she thought he was crazy.

She quickly changed into her clothes and went to their marital residence, but when she arrived, she discovered that even worse had happened: all of Jeff's belongings and all of hers were gone, and if that wasn't enough, all of the baby stuff was also gone.

Why was Jeff acting in this way? She wondered why he would hurt her so much over an accusation he wasn't willing to prove, or if he was just enjoying hurting her.

Hours passed, and Anna eventually got up wiping her tears when she noticed a piece of paper by the wall that contained a note written by Jeff.

Anna, please accept my heart. I find it hard to envision living with you and that guy, so I think it's best if we end things now. Please don't try to get in touch with me again; I'll be seeing my attorney shortly.

When Anna realised what the note meant, her eyes widened and she cried and wailed. She tried calling him, but his line was obviously switched off, so she assumed he had blocked her number.

She then called her sister and sobbed bitterly, telling her about what happened at home, forcing her sister who was at work to make an excuse to come.
