Reasons Why Soccer Players Swap Their Jerseys
I've been an avid FIFA player for as long as I can remember, and became truly invested in following professional soccer after the 2010 World Cup. Landon Donovan scoring that last-minute goal against Algeria is what converted me to full-time fan status, and I mean, how could it not? I knew most of the rules and understood the tactics and strategies employed (not to brag, but I was pretty good at FIFA), but there was always one aspect I didn't quite know fully. After every major soccer game, I would see soccer players swap their jerseys with the opposing team and would always wonder why.

The Rise of Eden Hazard
“With his flair and swagger Eden Hazard has been thrilling his supporters for some time now,” and rightly so. Eden’s flicks and tricks have led to him winning it all in England, with the biggest of them all, the Premier League, twice.

"Can We Join You Guys?". Top Story - August 2018.
Soccer, the most beautiful sport in the world, has gained an outstanding popularity here in the US over the last decade. It's also one of the simplest, yet, most complex sports known to athletes. It only consists of a ball, a goal, and the willpower to improve. Over the past few weeks, I've been hearing the statement, "Soccer is a rich, white kid sport." Me being an African-American who enjoys playing soccer, can both, support and combat this statement.

The look on Frank Lampard’s face after Derby’s 4-1 drubbing pretty much sums up the Mighty Whites' start to the season. The Takeaway: What We Learnt from the Premier League's Opening Weekend
Number one: The new boys are going to have to step it up. The three promoted sides had their first taste of Premier League action on Saturday. Wolves were able to pull out a 2–2 home draw against a ten-man Everton, but Cardiff and Fulham both suffered 2–0 defeats in their season openers.

Financial Fair Play
There is an old saying that goes, “you don’t have to be sick to get better.” More on this later. Paris Saint Germain pulled off the transfer of the century last summer after signing Neymar for a record fee $263 million. From the player perspective this was an opportunity to step out of Lionel Messi’s shadow and take his place as the best in the world. From the fan perspective, we are left collectively scratching our heads at how this is actually possible. In 2010, UEFA began setting the table for a new policy that would require clubs to remain solvent in their pursuit of new talent via the transfer window. This new policy was Financial Fair Play.

The 2017–2018 Premier League season was, well, boring. Manchester City had the league essentially won by Halloween, sapping the world's biggest league of a climactic title fight. Hopefully, this season will be different and City will only win the league by ten points.
