You Are Loved, You Are Wanted, You Matter

A Life Worth Living

By Evelyn GracePublished 10 months ago 3 min read

Life keeps moving even when you despise the way it treats you. Life keeps moving even when you feel like you can’t take it anymore. Life keeps moving even when everything is chaos. Life keeps moving even when you try to control every little thing, grasping for a sense of stability.

But why? Why can’t we just take a clock and pause it? Why can’t we just snap our fingers and say, “Yay, it stopped!” Why can’t we just disappear from the moments that break us?

Ever wondered why time never slows down, even when we are gasping for breath? When we are drowning in uncertainty, screaming into the void, begging for one moment of stillness—why does the world refuse to wait?

Because life was never meant to be in our control. It was never designed to bend to our will. God created each of us with a vision—a purpose. He placed us here not to fight time, but to walk with it. To learn, to grow, to endure, to love, to serve, and to cherish the people around us. And when our time here is done, He welcomes us back into His arms, just as a parent welcomes a child home after a long journey.

He says, “My child, take care of those who love you. Do your work without bitterness, without resentment. Live your life to the fullest, but never forget to serve Me and remind others of My love. When you feel weary, come to Me, for I am always waiting patiently with open arms, walking beside you in every step.”

Yet, as humans, we take life for granted. We ignore the whispers of grace in the quiet moments. We run tirelessly, chasing things that fade, convincing ourselves that we are in control—until the moment we realize we are not. And then, when everything collapses, when the ground beneath us crumbles, we look up. We turn to Him.

But why? Why do we wait for destruction to acknowledge our Creator? Why do we let fear of the unknown consume us when He has already written our story with hands of love?

The truth is, we are afraid. Afraid of letting go. Afraid of surrendering our burdens because pain, in some twisted way, has become familiar. We cling to our worries as if they define us, forgetting that we were never meant to carry them alone.

What if, instead of running, we paused? Not time itself, but our restless hearts. What if we stopped chasing what is beyond our control and started cherishing what is already here? The breath in our lungs. The sunrise that paints the sky. The laughter of a loved one. The simple, quiet moments where peace still exists, waiting for us to notice.

It’s okay to feel exhausted in today’s world. It’s okay to feel lost, overwhelmed, and broken at times. But it is never okay to believe that your life is worthless. Because you did not create it. You were not an accident.

You were formed by the hands of a loving Father who sculpted the stars, yet still took the time to sculpt you. He breathed life into you, not so you could suffer, but so you could live. And when the weight of life feels unbearable, He does not ask you to carry it alone. He asks you to lay it at His feet.

You are loved. You are wanted. The world is not the same without you.

Maybe it’s time to trust the One who holds the universe in place, knowing that if He can keep the stars from falling, He can surely guide your uncertain steps. Maybe it’s time to stop wrestling with time and start resting in faith. Because life will keep moving—but so will He. Always beside you. Always holding you. Always leading you home.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

His plans are the best! We just have to trust him. We HAVE to believe that his plan for us is better and wayy better than what we have for us. The verse at the end is so beautiful. ❤ We have similar verses in the Quran. I love this one: Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned... ❤🤝
