Bright lights flash across the screen. Loud music and sound effects sound off. Different controls to mess with. Create your character. But choose wisely. Organize your inventory. Trade with NPC's. Sell what you don't need. Dye your armor and weapons. Go into battle and defeat the evil forces.
Be player one or player two. Save the Princess in distress. Marry the Prince. Be knighted by the King. Earn medals. Gain a title. Keyboards. Mouse on a mouse pad. Comfy gaming chair. Sounds of your game system whirring beside you. Eyes trailing the screen. Grouping with friends to fight the Boss. Get all the loot!
Level up and become one of the elites. Buy a pet to keep you company and go into battle with. Virtual Reality. Possible motion sickness. Joy. Laughter. Controllers galore. Lots of space. Love. Distraction. Video games are happy distractions to many around the world.
A lot goes into the making of a game. So much happiness and joy comes from playing video and also making them.

Living Through a Pandemic
One day you're living life normally, going out to eat, spending time with loved ones. You don't expect life to turn upside down the next day. You don't expect to not get to see those loved ones, or to go out to your favorite restaurant for a long period of time. All because something random happened somewhere far away. All you hear or see on the news is all about this new virus going around that is infecting and even killing many. A panic can ensue and make you be scared to even touch your own face.

What Psiona Saw, Chapter Three
Psiona insisted on setting up some test-tubes at once, and even the scarcely-there hints of vanilla-pod and laundered linen which were her idea of smelling were much needed by 4-H-N just then. Having sniffed a few, she could feel a little of what was in her starting to settle. The girls sat on either side of the circular tea-table, Psiona’s chemistry kit between them, and she for a time waiting in patience while 4-H-N’s tiny flaring nostrils did the work.
