The Voice Inside the Lighthouse
Every beacon guides someone home—until it calls for you instead.

Nathan volunteered to maintain an old lighthouse on an isolated island. He found a voice transmitting through the radio at night—soft, pleading, and eerily familiar.
“Help me,” it said. “The storm’s coming.” But the island had been abandoned for decades; there were no ships nearby.
The climax: Nathan followed the voice up the spiral stairs, finding an old recording machine still running. When he pressed play, he heard his own voice echo back. The storm outside grew violent, and as lightning struck the sea, the radio repeated the message again—this time live.
