The Suitcase That Followed Her Home
She didn’t pack it. But it knew everything she’d left behind.

Airport security footage showed passenger Marisol Vega retrieving two suitcases. She only checked in one.
The second — identical to hers — had no tag, no ID. She thought it was a mix-up until she opened it. Inside were her clothes, her journals, her childhood toys — all aged decades beyond their real condition.
Among the items was a Polaroid of her standing next to an older version of herself, dated ten years in the future.
When she tried to throw the suitcase away, it reappeared on her doorstep the next morning, cleaner, newer.
She finally opened it one last time. Inside, only one thing remained: her passport — dated for next week, stamped FINAL DEPARTURE.
