The Sorcerer : Chapter One.

Thunder roars through the village , Cindr , A small and humble village surrounded by woodlands. Cindr is on the outskirts of Niild one of Midgards larger cities. The people of Cindr are simple farmers and workers , no one of importance , until that day , thunder and heavy rain on a blissful September night , a child was born.

Chapter one :

The beginning ~

" The baby is here! the baby is finally here ! " says the father , " a girl , but she doesn't seem right " replies the mother , " She is perfect " snaps the father " remember this is what we asked for " he continues. The young father , Briar and his wife had bargained with a Dwarven mage to help them bear a child , and with both parents being humans with blue eyes and dark hair , the difference in the child was much more noticeable. " And what shall we name her " the mother says , " Eiphos , and she will be enchanting! " Briar responds smiling ear form ear. As the years go by Eiphos was never told of her difference , and although people often stared and other children wouldn't play with her , she wasn't too bothered , she spent most of her days reading and foraging , her mother and father often argued and inevitably ended in divorce , she continued to live with her mother , but as time went on things became more and more strained.

" IM SICK OF YOU " the mother screams , "ooo you look just like your father " she snarled , Eiphos froze in fear , a feeling she was all too familiar with , her mother continues to yell whilst Eiphos forces her mind to be numb , she closes her eyes and suddenly ... silence. Eiphos opens her eyes and all she can see for miles is thick green forest , distant chirping and croaking fills her ears , "im safe" she tells herself . *BANG* Eiphos opens her eyes once again this time its because her mother had hit her so hard across the face her head bounces off the wall. her mother storms out and in panic Eiphos climbs inside her wardrobe and covers herself with clothes to hide , She hears panic break out when her mother and her mothers boyfriend cant find her , she lays as still as possible but it was too late , The boyfriend swings open the wardrobe and Eiphos gasps , " you little bitch!" the man shouts dragging her from her hiding spot , throws her to the ground and proceeds to smack her across the back multiple times before leaving. As always within a hour everyone was back to 'normal' like nothing had ever happened , but for Eiphos this was the final straw , they sat to eat dinner and she burst up from her seat " Im leaving , im going to live with father " , her mother puts down her cutlery and licks her teeth " your father doesn't want you , that's why he left. " the mother says with a face of stone. " I will find him and ask him myself then." replies Eiphos as she gathers herself together , readying to leave. her mother didn't even waste a breath to stop her and even waved her goodbye then watched as her young child fled the home , alone and afraid.

*Knock knock knock* Eiphos stood waiting for her father to answer the door . " by the gods please be home " she says , then the door creaks open , " Eiphos ? What in the nines are you doing here ? " Briar stutters , " Ive come to live with you , if you'll have me ?" , without second thought Briar hugs Eiphos and welcomes her into his home. That night they sit down together to eat and Eiphos decides its finally time to ask for the truth " father , why doesn't anyone other than you want me ?" , Briar nearly chokes on his drink " well because Im the one that loves you " he chuckles trying to brush the question off , " father , please " Eiphos sighs , " well um , you see my darling , you're not human and people here across midgard aren't too fond of other races ", Eiphos stares in shock as her father continues *sigh* " I was a warrior for the high king , Ive travelled to others of the nine realms , fought along side elves and the dwarfs , your mother and I wanted a baby , but it wasn't that easy so we asked a dwarf for help , a mage or whatever they call themselves , lying bastard would fit better , he told us that you'd have dwarven blood , but so little that no one would ever know , well when you was born with eyes as grey as my steel sword , hair as white as snow and magic pulsing through your veins we knew a lot of people would have some things to say " , Briar moves over to sit next to Eiphos " But you are my daughter , no matter what blood runs through your veins " , Eiphos hugs her father and bursts into tears , she knew , she could finally be herself.

A few years go by and Eiphos is now a blossoming teen , knowing that she has the gift of magic she starts reading old tomes of witch craft and sorcery , she starts simple with things like using natural ingredients to make potions and eventually moves on to spell casting and she finds she is an absolute natural , but unfortunately for her , she still hasn't learnt her balance between chaos and order. At just 16 years old her whole life was about to change yet again. A group of older girls are relentlessly bullying Eiphos , name calling , hitting , pulling her hair , it goes on for weeks and then that fateful day comes , Eiphos is pinned to the floor by two girls as a third and fourth hit and kick her , she screams and screams for help but no one comes , the anger , the fear , the adrenaline , the flash backs of her mother , the rage it builds , the thunder suddenly claps above them as Eiphos' eyes start to glow white , she pulls two of the girls to the floor effortlessly then gets up on her two feet , grabbing a third girl by the throat , she squeezes and watches the colour drain from the girls face , the forth girl runs towards them to stop the fight but with a motion of her hand Eiphos sends the girl backwards and to a halt , the third girl still grabbing and scratching at Eiphos' hand , gasping for air , this was it , this is going to be the girls last measly breath . *CLASH* A bolt of lightening hits the ground behind Eiphos and a figure appears , grabbing Eiphos and pulling her through a rift to another realm , the girl drops to the floor , crying , gasping and coughing , they all look at the spot where Eiphos once stood , puzzled by her disappearance , where did she go ? and who was that person that took her.
