In 1928, a fishing trawler spotted a ship drifting near the Azores. No signal, no flag. When sailors boarded, they found food on plates, candles still burning — but not a single person aboard. The log ended mid-sentence:
“They’re knocking on the hull again.”
When authorities towed it to port, the ship began rocking violently despite calm seas. Divers inspecting the hull found dozens of handprints pressed from inside the wood. Days later, the ship vanished overnight — leaving only the mooring ropes, cut cleanly as if from below.
